And Azure, I replied your PM-question as much as i can atm.
BoG'r OOC.
Ya'shenn will probably ask more questions, but this is a start.

I have returned! I also unexpectedly managed to find, of all things, voice references for Azthri, or at least the closest approximation of it.
Speaking: Brigitte Bako (specifically as the voice talent of Angela from the Gargoyles series)
Singing: Maite Itoiz of Elfenthal.........if I ever have Azthri sing something, that is!
I'll post when it's appropriate to do so. For now I'll be an observer. =)

I wonder how Derog would be reacting to this conversation...
I definitely don't mind if other people post in the meantime -- in fact, I hope they do post -- it's just that Ya'shenn will be busy concentrating on K'tch's mind.

Derog is definetly intrigued by the conversation and is seriously debating posessing the bard and or anyone else who may prove useful for a brief time. He hasn't attempted to leave Azthri's body since she was a toddler. That effort nearly killed her, so Derog never tried again. However, now that Azthri is no longer a child, he feels it may be worth the risk.
As an additional note: he is very irked by Azthri's behaviour at the moment.....if he weren't dead he would box her ears and backhand her. >_> Or he could just make her do something bad enough to warrant said punishment because he's feeling particularlly vindictive.

Ah, heh, already new THAT one , tell us something new
(and maybe interesting) lol.
Specifically, a term paper for school, in addition to work ... but I check in from time to time. *Know* that I will hand in said paper, along with taking the final for the class, next monday. I will not post much before then, but PCs are invited to interact if they wish.
I share in this pain as well, for I must also endure the will-crushing torment of finals. Be strong, Azure!!!! **militant music!!!!*

Yea Azure, Good Luck there, and will see u after the final then
Ya'shenn knows that Pale/Mist are making some kind of weapon. Not having Knowledge: Arcana, however, she doesn't really know what it is. K'tch might have figured out something, but perhaps a mage in the party might know more...

While not a mage per say Kirath would have some insight (=ranks in knowledge arcana) into this if it is described to him.
Azure has mentioned it in some of the DM posts relating to whatever project Pale is working on. The necromantic project that appears to require a lot of onyxes? (Check out posts #2781 and #2822.)
I think Kirath observed a lot of the "weapon being built" while he was aboard the ship with Pale's officers, but I don't think he shared that with Ya'shenn while mindlinked (did he?), and she doesn't have Knowledge: Arcana anyway.
Basically -- whatever this weapon is is probably important, but Ya'shenn doesn't have the arcane knowledge to put these particular puzzle pieces together. Kirath might, though!

Hmm I'll be damned you are right kirath did see it although he did not warn Ya'sheen about I'll have to PM Azure and see if he can figure it out with the proper roll.
Greetings, battle-siblings, (just HAD to say that!)
As of five pm Pacific Standard Time, I will officially be freed from the slavery of finals! Also, today happens to be my birthday. I am eagerly anticipating a return to BoG'r and if anyone has suggestions for what you would like me to do next, send a PM. I'm up for something interesting!!!!
As a tiny expression of gratitude to everyone in this game, I made a motivator....

Azthri: Oi, berk! You promised me I'd go on rrakkma! I've been waiting to go squid-hunting since I was four years old! WHEN DO I KILL A GHAIK?! WHEEEEEENNNNN????!!!
Me: Paitence, oh neutrally-aligned gith person or you may incur my wrath and suffer an alignment shift.
Azthri: HA! Like you would--
Me: You are now declared Neutral Annoying.
Back on topic, it occured to me that since Derog was alive and well about 30+ years before the events of the RPG and living on the Astral Plane while undercover, there is a chance that one or two characters may have known/heard of "Dhva'sthir of Flint". It's not every day that a sarth is found beheaded with his heart carved out and obvious signs of physical torture on the corpse, I imagine. O-o
Then again, Derog's githyanki lady-love did incinerate the ones responsible for it. >_>

happy happy b-day
Finals over for me, though the nuttitty continues ...
I feel like "grand" dad now
The contents of K'tch's mind are VERY interesting, by the way. (In a way that is probably positive for the party.)
Sorry that took so long.

ill reply tomorrow...
Question for the DM:
Does the party actually have a snowball's chance in Baator of actually being able to... 'eliminate' Pale, should they decide to do so? (As in... 'eliminating' Pale himself, without having to fight most of his forces.) I had previously figured that his CR must be so high that he could probably take out the entire party without breaking a sweat. Still, he does have to sleep, apparently...

Derog would have paid top coin to see that one if he were alive.....
Hoping I can get my scanner to work so I can show everyone my character sketches thus far before I draw the actual group picture. I'm hardly a Michaelangelo, but it's a labor of love. =F

Ya'shenn is a little hesitant to spill what she found in K'tch's mind, simply because Mist-of-the-Mind took such pains to send her a secret message.
Still, I imagine it's important to the plot... and she could probably be talked into it...

But there hasnt been any hints to what the conversation will contain, its been all vagueness and barely understandable hints... meh
I guess you have a point.... Ya'shenn can be very vague at times, can't she?
I actually meant the part about what the illithid are doing in Git'riban -- or whether the party should attempt to go to Git'riban, or fight Pale. Still, Ii could just tell Ya'shenn to spit it out, too.
Edit: There, that conversational opening might help.

I'm sure that at least some Sigilians have seen the Lady before, at least historically. She doesn't necessarily flay her entire audience.
I meant "In Undersigil"
She's periodically seen up on the streets, sure, but I see the "Peace" of Sigil as being very different in Undersigil. Much more cut-throat and dungeon-like.
But yes, Gy implied that he knows someone with "the sight".
senja'si might work -- it's the word for a githyanki hr'a'cknir who can see the future. Or a 'precognitive' or clairsentient. Doesn't matter much I guess.

Ya'shenn bows her head -- much as she had in acknowledgement of Pale's wishes, not all that long ago. "Forgive me, sister; I intend no disrespect. That vagueness is a habit both of my upbringing and of my training."
"In any case, I am not actually certain of your stance on this subject." Still, Mist-of-the-Mind is eager to cultivate Ii'Jyka'Vaar as an ally.
"Let us assume an entirely hypothetical scenario for a moment. Imagine that a warlock among your brothers had successfully tricked and, literally, enslaved another of your siblings, using magical means to accomplish this end. Assume, further, that this warlock intends to fully... absorb the entire being of this other githyanki. This act would grant the warlock access to the other's intellect and capabilities, but would result in the utter annihilation of the other as an individual. Furthermore -- that this would occur at some point in the future, but soon. Where, in such a circumstance, would your obligations lie?"
[Ya'shenn is careful to be specific about the male gender of the warlock in question, especially since his behavior sounds a little bit like what the Revered Queen gets up to... Yeah, she's still being kind of vague, but I think Ii can figure out which male mage she's referring to.]
EUHM...
right, i am mixed up:
Is this referring to Pale or our little warlock, or even the new addition to the group?
3 possibilities imo.
B.S.
She's actually referring to Pale! (Although if Ii wants to ask to clarify that, that's fine too)

Is there any means for me to help? O-o Yes, Azthri is 'culture-impaired' to put it kindly and tends to act or speak before her brain catches up, or using Derog to do her thinking for her. Right now, I honestly don't believe she can do anything but cause further damage to her own credability, seeing as she's already managed to ruin her first impression. It's admittedly an odd character to play, as I'm accustomed to portaying philosopher/warriors and eccentric intellectuals. Azthri may have left the Hive, but the Hive hasn't left her.
Or as someone (hint to DM) might say, she's "Sigil-smart, 'Yanki-stupid"
I think I'm going to meditate on Sun Tzu's strategies for ideas.....literally.

Ya, we might have played out this meeting, anyway. Perhaps the party should go ahead with the plan of talking to the captains? Ya'shenn wanted to find Styrrn, right? What about the other captains ('Silver' , D'ayyn, Zjaa and Ra-Shiis)
Burning: You, sir, are a god. O_O
Azure and Zimmy: I second that idea.

This is what Ya'shenn would like, sure. I was under the impression, though, that Gy-Nath really doesn't want to fight Pale (and as he is a Unifist I can't really blame him), and he seems to be more interested in going to Daerlun, anyway. If the party decides to stay in Starmantle, is he planning to go back to Pale?
It's also possible that the party could attempt to use one of the other portals (for example, the ones that Azthri knows about) to get back to Git'riban, if they can find some way out of Starmantle that doesn't involve Pale. (Ya'shenn isn't enthused about the idea, especially if it means ticking off the Apocalytes, but she likes the idea of going to Daerlun with Pale even less.)
What does Gy-Nath want? What do the other party members want?

Euhm... naaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, not really..
But thanks for the compliment, your welcome to the info.
I second a bit more movement in what we are doing...sure..
Azthri will go wherever the rest of the party decides. If the party does split, she will likely go with the group that seems to be the quickest route to Git'riban unless the other group convices her to accompany them.
To the other players: reel her in by challenging her to 'prove herself'.

To tell the truth Kirath really does NOT want to go back with Pale. He would rather find a portal and get as far away as possible. But if there was a way to sabotage the would-be lich's plans especially from the inside the belly of the beast that would be very satisfying.
I actually have that head, so dont worry, he is not forgotten, nor will he stay in the current "situation"
