Only 1 problem I see : Azthri should very much WANT to return to Git'riban, as the PCs themselves do (and need to, there being unfinished business there)
So, instead of coming to Starmantle as stated, Azthri probably was encouraged by her mentor to "Join the great Incursion and become a real githyanki." She did so, and fought for a few years on Toril, but the unit she served with was defeated and wiped ou/scattered. Her wanderings brought her to Starmantle.
BTW, the whole "wanting to go to Git'riban" idea should be growing on Kirath, too. DM has been laying seeds for this, in fact, what with the whole Pale situation, and an soon-to-be event which (hopefully) will crystalize the idea in his head.
Though I dislike toadies within the player group..
(Had some very bad experience in a group where we ended up with 2 groups within the party, and they were trying to kill each other) But I guess this really depends on you yourself how you portray him/ her and how bad the toadying will be
Thanks, mate. No need to fret, the toadying is not obnoxious. The worst you'll ever see is Azthri asking for a detailed account of mindflayer slaughtering. XD
I also assure everyone this will not be the 'oh woe is me I am but a girl seeking her place in among her people lalala' type of character. Far from it. You can't very well amputate limbs, clean up bodily fluids, perform invasive operations, have to explain to graith parents that their hot-headed teenager would still be alive if only he had not insulted the githyanki youths walking accross the street and expect to approach everyone with starry-eyed giddyness. The world is harsh, the githyanki are harsher and Azthri'Zhan'kel will tough it out.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss. If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose. If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself. - Sun Tzu, The Art of War
