Well, go ahead and post I guess
Edit: I'm still thinking vile damage is excessive, but I don't think Ya'shenn would know that Ii can do that anyway. Plus, it's your character.

not naked, not even HALF.. lol, simply in breeches and shirt.. I imagine them be linen..
*Gasps for air* OK, after about 6 months in the academy I am now a cop as of last Friday and have a bit more time. Having said that I got married on the Saturday so I haven't got that much time.
I've been lurking to try to keep up-to-date as much as possible. What do we need to get Ar'dru back into things?
"We're making a better world. All of them, better worlds." - Anonomous Harmonium Officer
Congrats on the "getting married" + I am not sure becoming a cop is that good (lol) but congrats on that to I guess....
Congratulations on getting married and becoming a cop (they don't nearly enough respect or pay in my mind) and welcome back!
Well, respect should be earned, regardless if "they" are cops or not.. the British police here gets no respect, as they simply misbehave, Ill give an example.. (and this is a very simple example of the many incidents i see happen over the course of my career as a Door Lad)
I am a Door Supervisor at a nightclub... I take a drunk (falling asleep) customer to the cloakroom, to get his coat, and give him a bottle of water to make him sober up (club policy) then after a few minutes i deem him enough "sobered up" to at least escort him out of the night club and point him towards the taxi rank.
Whilst explaining him: he is not barred etc, but cant stay this night, because of excessive alcohol use, some coppers walk up and simply "charge" into him, asking what's going on, but doing this in such an aggressive manner unnecessary in this occasion.
I explain to the leading copper that there is no need for that, and that he is simply drunk and getting himself to a taxi..
Copper simply ignores me..
I talked about it with colleagues, and they say its simply the coppers trying to score another arrest, good for their figures in the books.
Door Supervisors in the UK have no respect for the police, and vice versa.. It seems the police doesn't like any other entity stepping on their territory (security/ Door Supervisors do this "in a way").
Edit:
And about underpayment..
I get much less pay, and am far more often "in the line of fire" then any of the coppers that patrol the city...bah
And sorry for derailing.. anyway, had to get that off my chest.
I've been lurking to try to keep up-to-date as much as possible. What do we need to get Ar'dru back into things?
Congratulations, Az =)
I think the party members are still separated, though hopefully that will change soon.

Wow! Congratulations on both counts, Az!!!! I had actually aspired to become a cop myself, but apparently having a partially paralyzed diaphram and a clip on my heart means I don't qualify. Lol.
Now you can officially participate in rrakkmas against lawbreakers and return home triumphantly to someone you love. That's what I call rolling all twenties in life! =D
To Azure: My internet has been glitching so I have no idea if my PC sheet went through.....I suspect it's an illithid thrall. >__>

sorry folks, but i've been feeling sick for the past week, just in time for spring, too! As a result I haven't checked in at all since my last post. Ill try to post soon, but probably not right away ...
At least its good that you peeked in and showed us that your still alive and "well"... we will be patient I guess
Feel better soon! =D

Chaotic Goth = Nutter... lol.. but funny in a way...
+ I am really curious to the new additions character concept
And some pointers for you regarding group composition, (if you didn't already got that from reading the thread):
1 full Psion/ healer
1 Gith Knight/ dragon rider/ healer in a sense/ but loads more...
1 Gith Warlock
1 (not nearby atm) half dragon gith fighter...
Excellent! Thanks mate! I've been dying to join in for a while but was a bit too shy. I hope my character, once I clean everything up again because I'm that nervous, will be welcomed by her githyanki brethren. Oddly enough, I rarely play female characters, though I decided to make an exception just once. XD
Edit: I actually have debated to join a ceramics class so I could make an illithid skull inscence burner. O_O

classes? meaning your a student?
Aye, and currently getting my boyfriend into the glory that is D&D. =D
Back on topic, hoever, would a rogue be acceptable? O_o
I want to aid this rpg to the best of my abilities, therefore any suggestions for what sort of character would "fit" best for the situation at hand would help.

First: OMG another girl!!!!!... lol. (presuming that you aren't a gay boy .)
anyway.. after all this excitement
Second: Play a concept you want, not "something we need", if that happens to coincide, nice and useful, but your happiness comes firstly, compatibility comes 2nd.
A "pure" rogue we haven't got...(box type, open locks, find/ remove traps etc.)
However, in the game so far, I have seen one occasion where it might have been useful, if at all, so am not sure how good of a choice that would be, you have to check with Azure on that...
Casting abilities add a lot of in game use and power.. so this is always useful for the char. itself..if not always the party.
Rogue's are always useful imo, seeing the bucket-load of skill-points/ skill access they give, i prefer class-combinations of them though..with other classes..
Which books do you have available? that helps define my advice also...
Yes, another girl has invaded! Muahaha.
I have the Planescape campaign, Dark Sun campaign, a large amount of 3.5 books, Complete Psionics, Expanded Psionics, Unearthed Arcana, the Incursion, Scales of War and Lich Queen's Beloved articles as well.
Thanks again for clearing up the subject. =D

Ideas for joining:
the NPC Kitiir is up for grabs to become a full-fledged PC if you want ...
Or you could come aboard as one of Kirath's warriors ...
One of Ib'ms warriors or a pirate-githyanki could join, but it would be difficult ....
Evil DM here, CG1431's character could be the one about to go hand-to-hand with Ii'jyka'vaar ....
"lol"... yea, that would be nice for shits and grins.. NOT
we have enough friction on our hands.. we don't really need this on top of it all I think, but nice going, Evil-DM (meant in a light hearted sarcastic way, )
Heh, O well... in RL they seem to be a rarity, but on the net they flourish.. look at Zimmy, and now Gotha..
I am not really familiar with the last 3, but seeing you have most basic books, we can work on ideas...
I have gotten from Azure the option to be allowed to use `militant rogue `) swapping sneak attack for feats as if fighter)1,2,3,5,etc
Maybe that helps a bit to give more options..
No questions, answers or comments?
*Cough!*
Sorry, but it will be a few days. Mid-term tomorrow, dinner-date tuesday. But I do have next week off.
anyway, BS here's what I want you to do ; roll 3 dice, either here or your favorite d20 at home, I trust you, and decide what order you want to present them in. i.e, you can go low to high, or high-to-low, or mix 'em up. Just give me unmodified rolls, plz.
Will do, just a sec..
I rolled (in that order actually, I have atm only 2D20):
18 and 8 simultaneously, 18 after that...
I will present them as:
8 for the first (careful) go...
18
18
Also, Azure:
PM-ed you with a question regarding an npc..
Alrighty, I've written my PC's biography and have decided to use the militant rogue template offered. Azure or Burning Spear, if you could send me the template that would be awesome. Hopefully if all goes smoothly Azthri'Zhan'kel the Plague-Healer will be making her not-so-grand entrance. =D
Originally wanted to do a rogue/telepath but figured the group already has one psionics user and the same goes for rogue/sorcerer in regards to magic.

If you mean what the class does with that variant?
It's in Unearthed Arcana, page 58,
It states: "Gain: Bonus Feats (as Fighter),
Lose: Sneak Attack"
Azure, send you a update-pm about the NPC...
Nice writeup there Azure, and Zimmy... no worries..
edit: btw, I have no internet atm at home, so i am having to reply from the library, so my posts will be slower..
Second, the fact that as blunt as Tij'di seems, he is at least far more brave than Ya'shenn is herself. Third: that such division cannot be very helpful with Pale and his fleet essentially holding the city in a state of siege. Fourth: That Tij'di is in possession of potentially valuable information, and as such should be treated well.
The psion does not appear to clearly favor either opponent as the duel proceeds.
New post soon?

"Ii'jyka'vaar, Githees, I must take my leave. But please, stay with my githwarriors here, and let them learn from your blades' tales.
Watching Ib'm, Ii realizes that the psion must spend much more time now interacting with the graith than with her own people ... and hates it. Hates the graith, and hates her job. Hates it with the passion that only those who are really, really good at their job can. Few, gith, graith, or god, could keep Starmantle running so well in her circumstances. A city of pirates, thieves, mercenaries, opportunists, and merchants bold enough to bargain with githyanki, with exactly one administrator.
The those of Ib'm's githwarriors who remain congratulate Ii's victory, though it seems mostly as a formality, with little enthusiasm. A few are impressed, and perhaps newly respectful of her station, for she finds herself speaking with the Onyx and a Basalt companion of theirs ... {}
Maybe ill have more questions, but cannot think of them atm..

Yes.
Though actual blade-training will probably be welcomed only by the three interested gith you've picked up.
Basicly, Ib'm was saying "You can hang out here"
A couple of questions about the mystery skiff:
It came from the sea. In which direction is the sea?
A "Misk's sea-fleet" was mentioned earlier. Does Ya'shenn know anything yet about this sea-fleet, or its leader?

Working (AGAIN) on my PC biography for the militant rogue class and will leave it entirely up to Azure to place Azthri'Zhan'kel where he sees fit.

A couple of ideas:
If Azthri is not an Apocalyte, she could be one of the "stragglers from several different bands and units who have taken refuge here." This would likely mean that either she isn't of the same power bloc as her warband's commander, that she got separated from her warband somehow, or she's a sole survivor of a warband/unit.
She also might have been sent to Starmantle for some reason -- perhaps to deliver a missive to one or more of the pirate captains, or to trade.

About my nat attacks, Is it so that because she does vile damage, my whole body feels cold? I thought only my "weapons" (aka hands) would do so, but the way you described it, Azure, it seems you have a different oppinion..
we need to discuss plz.
B.S.
Though actual blade-training will probably be welcomed only by the three interested gith you've picked up.

Cool, could you specify a bit about the 2 Onyx and 1Basalt?
maybe pm me restrictions on their make-up? so i can detail them?
Will soonish post a reply on this ingame.

Hmmm both ideas are very intriguing. I'll let everyone in on a few details I can divulge from Azthri's biography without giving everything away, keeping in mind that I am more than willing to alter just about anything.
1) Azthri's mother was a member of the Chrysocolla Band who suffered a terrible accident while on a raid against the githzerai in Limbo when carrying Azthri. The trauma was severe enough to break her mind and she fled to Sigil under the delusion that her warband was compromised. This trauma affected the unborn Azthri as well, but in a more insidious manner than most will expect. O_o
2) The egg containing Azthri was laid in the basement of a Hive soup kitchen, where the now completely insane warrior hid from the 'ghaik thralls' she continually ranted about to the soup kitchen overseer. The overseer took the newborn the day she hatched while Azthri's mother had fallen into one of her stupors and turned her over to a local orphanage.
3) Azthri ran away from the orphanage at the githyanki equivalent of thirteen, worked as a light-boy for one year, then fell into working as a Collector for five years under the 'protection' of a cross-trading couple who sent their 'apprentices' out to fetch as many corpses for the Dustmen as possible.
4) Managed to find work in the Market Ward as an 'errand-berk' for a somewhat shady doctor who exploited Azthri's githyanki heritage as a means to scare off creditors. Earned her nickname 'Plague-Healer' due to her astute quick-thinking that averted a potential epidemic when her employer unwittingly contracted bubonic plague. In one of his rare moments of gratitude, the doctor made his errand-berks assistants. Seven years later all of them, including Azthri, were full-fledged doctors themselves.
5) So where does the 'militant' part of the 'militant rogue' come into play? Azthri's occupation enabled her to work in Git'riban with little trouble other than the occasional snide remark. Naturally, many of her patients were outcast githyanki from the old regime and reveled in her enthusiastic interest in their former lives in Tu'narath. One such warrior felt it was an absolute waste for such a smart young githyanki to stoop to 'ghustil's work' and personally trained Azthri for a decade using the same grueling techniques she herself had been subjected to as part of her training decades before in her own warband.
6) Azthri has gone to Starmantle at the urging of her warrior mentor to 'find a better class of the People than these ghetto-bred rats and make something of yourself!' Has somewhat of a tendency to idolize/hero-worship those githyanki she finds worthy of emulating. Seems like our group of Git'ribani is going to have a fan......XD
Additional facts: She is true neutral and still unsure of what faction she believes in despite having some disturbingly Reconcilliationist leanings, making her ripe for any member of the Git'ribani to 'convert' her to their own philosophies. Evil!Chaotic_Goth1431 says Evil!DM and other players should use this to an advantage!!!!
The 'insidious' repercussions of the accident in Limbo will be revealed here should Azure or Zimmy request it. I admit it will be a trifle....odd, but will give the character a significant weakness to balance her out. =D

Sounds cool so far, I see no need to change any of that
Though I dislike toadies within the player group..
(Had some very bad experience in a group where we ended up with 2 groups within the party, and they were trying to kill each other) But I guess this really depends on you yourself how you portray him/ her and how bad the toadying will be
Ya'shenn just wants to not lose a warrior (Pale is more important than this guy), and doesn't want to offend the Apocalytes as a power bloc.
I think Ya'shenn doesn't know about the "Ii does vile damage" thing either, so she couldn't advise against it.
