Does he restrict the movements of the other party members? (Ya'shenn would like to use Gather Information on the crew and pay a visit to the quartermaster. "Quartermaster" can refer to different roles -- I mean the guy who manages who gets what equipment, including food!) If so, but Ii can move around the ships, there's always mindlink.

Well, he can't exactly stop anyone from d-dooring around to other ships, but there are some practical restrictions on distance and line-of sight, as well as their orders (like; "this is the ship you're assigned to", and "nobody touches any of the horse-meat, except the knight's wyvern") There is also this; do you really want to try d-dooring over to one of Pale's ships uninvited?
As for contacting any of Pale's gith, Ya'shenn could certainly start contacting random minds, looking for the right gith, but that'd not only be rude but also probably get her in trouble with Pale. Her only other option is contacting Aal-Zet with any questions/requests. That is what he's there for, after all.
then lets mindlink
As for inquiries about Aebir-Toril, assume Ya'shenn and the rest learn all the following:
-Any general player knowledge concerning the world, but nothing from specific campaigns, adventures, or fiction.
-Everything given in the Background for BoG'r that I did in the rrakkma section.
-Bloc Politics are as follows: The majority of the githwarriors still on this world are Apocalytes. The Cult of Tiamat also has significant forces, including the aid of several red dragons, some of whom came along with the Incursion to this world. Pale is Ascendancy, a supporter of the White Lady's bid for Vlaakith's throne. He has the fewest (living) supporters. The blocs generally conduct their own missions separately. Kirath's strikeforce was an exception to this generality. Na'rai's Heartforce warriors taking part in operations here is something highly unusual.
I don't want to give away too much, though. There are some plot points coming up which I don't want to ruin with spoilers.
I think I found Master Pale's themesong.

LOL love it!
So, I should have Ii'Jyka have her Wyvern get ready for some ship-to-ship flying and parcel deliveries?
I just spent my time at my 2nd job writing N'Ach't's story. It wasn't intended as a reply to BS's post.
Very nice. K'tch now has that much more songwriting material, I would think.

First of all, thank you for the complements about my creative outlet. You are too kind.
Now, notice a few elements of N'Ach't and her story.
She is certainly fully sentient, but much about her is determined by her nature. She spends a deal of exposition on her experience with blades. As a swordwraith she is an undead specifically made to remember their fighting skills. She is so-so about her memories of her mate, and can even feel sad that she doesn't care anymore. Instead she describes a love for the physical land in the place she died.
Sounds very dramatic and .. (the word escapes me...)
I'm tempted to have Ya'shenn ask N'ach't, "So what's our destination?" I doubt she'd tell the party if Pale would not, though.

No, she wouldn't.
How do we do coloured text now?
"We're making a better world. All of them, better worlds." - Anonomous Harmonium Officer
color=nameofcolor
Enclose in brackets.
For example, Ya'shenn's text is color=darkblue. Basically it's back to the old BBCode colors. (I don't know the BBCode names for each color, though.)

Editing Pale's NPC psion's name slightly, to reflect how I envison it pronounced (almost like "all zet" but breathier on the A, and like one one word)

Yea, I know, i tried to keep it as superficial as possible, only showing what you see etc.. It was my attempt to make some visual effects that you could slightly interact with on a simple level that would not breach your character or control
Tesla is a Ukrainian actually, and if you translate this "name" it actually comes out as the name of his proffesion, Carpenter.
*cough*
I'm waiting to see if the NPCs have any more advice for the party. If not, I'm ready to continue to the next scene.

fighter lvl 1 gives a feat, always nice.. what direction you want to go with your char is very important now what you have option-wise
Well, Zim, the 'level of fighter" option was written with you in mind, since you (rightly) rate Ya'shenn's hand-to-hand combat ability a little above a chipmunk. Not that one level of fighter is going to turn her into a Chuck Norris, but it would help, and it seems in-story since she just went on a mission with several very skillful warriors and now has down-time for training.
Yes, Battledancer, DM is SO giving Kirath every reason to say "Pike it! Sigil you say? Sounds nice, I'm coming too."
As for Kirath's level, it seems less in-character, and he's only been a "party member" for a short while, so it's a bit forced on my part, but I don't want him under-powered for the rest of the party (not that he would be, really .... hmmm .....). Well, I'd hate to take it back now, anyway, that would be mean (but I may still decide to delay his lvl gain until after the current story-arc .....). Still, a level in something different would be cool. We could even play it like "oh, he's had this all along ..." if you want to do something like underdark guide. PM me, and we'll kick around some ideas.
That chipmunk comment so made me burst into laughter
Hey, they've got sharp teeth ......
I used to keep Degu's they are sooo cute and also have small but sharp teeth..
Advantages of a level in fighter:
d10 for hitpoints
+1 to hit for melee and missile attacks
+2 to Fort saves
Proficiency with all armor/martial weapons
1 fighter bonus feat (weapon focus/longsword?)
Intimidate as a class skill
(So, +2 to hit for attacks with longsword, for example, and +1 to hit with missile weapons, but no bonus to damage. The ability to wear armor is tempting, but Ya'shenn has the Inertial Armor ability already.)
Advantages of a level in rogue:
d6 for hitpoints
+2 to Reflex saves
Average of +3.5 damage on each successful sneak attack. Ya'shenn flanks monsters constantly for the +2 attack bonus anyway.
Proficiency with light armor
More skill points than fighters, and a wide variety of skills to choose from.
Would the multiclass XP penalty be particularly significant (or for that matter, even exist) in this game?
(No bonus to attack rolls, but +3.5 or so to damage rolls for sneak attacks. It's been easy to flank monsters so far, but she would probably seldom have opportunities to sneak attack with missile weapons. Also, her sword's special bonus is versus undead, and good luck sneak attacking the undead...)
Advantages of a level in psion:
Mostly, two new powers (3rd and 4th level). Examples include Whitefire (a decent AoE attack) or Telekinetic Thrust (or Hostile Empathic Transfer) as well as powers such as Mindwipe, Charm Monster, Tailor Memory, Divination, Freedom of Movement.
Disadvantages: Whitefire and Telekinetic Thrust (for example) have significant power point costs. Power resistance mostly applies, though I would guess that using telekinetic thrust to hurl a longsword/spear/whatever at a mind flayer would not trigger power resistance.

Zimmy:
There is also the Militant Rogue:
It exchanges the sneak attack for feats "as if a fighter"..
meaning you can take fighter feats that don't have pure fighter as prerequisite like weapon specialization etc.

Unearthed Arcana, page 58. near the bottom of page
*edit:
I am actually using this version myself also.(with permission of Azure of course)
I don't have it, unfortunately.
Any other suggestions?
BoGr Guide to Missile Combat:
1) Equip a bow or crossbow.

I actually suggest another lvl of Psion as the best choice. A level of fighter could be interesting, but wouln't add the power another Psion level would.
The idea of having a level of rogue is interesting, but again does not add the amount of power a psion lvl would.
or a prestige class lvl which gives a psi-power lvl also
but yea, i agree with Azure, unless the other levels would give you access to minimums that you need for a prestige class.
Powers under consideration:
(I'm assuming that hurling a weapons rack full of swords at a mind flayer wouldn't trigger its power resistance. Attempting to use this power on an item the mind flayer is currently wielding would trigger its PR. Is that correct?)
For 4th-level powers, I'm considering: Death Urge
Possibly Empathic Feedback
Note that these are 3.5 powers/versions of powers, not 3.0. Compare Death Urge with Fatal Attraction in the 3.0 Psionics Handbook, for example. The power has been modified to actually be useful in combat.
I'm thinking Telekinetic Thrust for the 3rd level power (mainly to be used vs mind flayers) and Death Urge for the 4th level power.
She's actually very close to meeting the prerequisites for the Thrallherd prestige class, but I'd imagine the class to be rather overpowered for PCs. (Essentially a thrallherd gets a particular number of NPC followers, and can get new ones (not exceeding a total of said number) every 24 hours.)

Thrallherd also seems a little un-githyankish
I was interested in Leadership (similar in effect to the thrall herd) but Azure doesn't allow that feat, so I would guess that goes for this PrC as well.
He did say I am allowed the Dragon Cohort though, which is for in the long future to allow system wise whenever I might end up with a dragon (whenever that might be).
Azure, you ninja'd me now
I would not worry about the 3.0 - 3.5 "problems", we play 3.something and i am fully 3.5 anyway...
Azure, you also not really answered my last PM-question.. could you please?
So I am torn between another level in warlock or level in ranger (the latter to help qualify me for Prime Underdark guide) What do you guys think.
Hey Zimmy maybe you should look into Illithid slayer it's in the SRD under Slayer if you don't have Expanded Psionics available to you as a source. 9/10 manifesting plus full bab is pretty good in my book.
Blade: Why this PrC?
It would fit his background plus for some reason I have a sneaking suspicion our exalted dm Azure might shunt us into the Underdark sooner or later. So it could be useful later on.
because effective-wise I do not think its the best choice, but if it suits you, then fair enough. I personally would have expected you to go for something that adds to the Warlock bit.
I probably will just go with warlock eventually going for Hellfire Warlock.
I'm inclined to agree
It's tempting. She'd need a level in ranger first, though. I think I may just get a level in Psion now, mainly for telekinetic thrust.

I do stuff like that. It makes it easier for me to remember NPC names.
The healer, Ki'dem. The bard, K'tch. The psion coordinator, Aal-Zet.
