SOCIOPATHIC [GENERAL]
You are numb to the feelings of others to the point of callousness.
Prerequisites: Con 13+,Cha 15 or less,6+ ranks in Intimidate skill, any non-good alignment.
Benefit: You gain a +3 bonus to all Willpower saving throws and an additional +1 to any save involving mind affecting magic.
(i think its out either AEG's Feats book, or CompleteBook of Feats or Tome of Feats)
Interesting...

I have a bit of difficulty picturing the situation now, where what is etc... and how the staircases are..
and tactical wise more then even 2 turns should have gone by now...
2nd round, ready action, 3rd round behead halforc, 4th round move up to pamparts and get jumped on..then this round willbe 5th to declare... or something
or
2nd round, ready action, and behead halforc, 3th round move up to pamparts and get jumped on, 4th round start moving again?
Posted. Dunno exactly where I landed, but I assume its somewhere near Foreman, between Ya'shenn and Ar'dru.
Yea, sorry for being liberal on the rounds. Such is the nature of play-by-post, when I want to keep things moving.Picturing this;
round 0 - Ar'dru tries to behead Meathook but has trouble due to collar. Foreman speaks. Foreman's minions head into office 'building' (see description of Packinghouse interior). Party arrives, Gy, Du , and Ii head up stairs.
round 1 - Githyanki trio move & slay minions on second office floor (same as first catwalk level). Ar'dru throws thunderblast. Ya'shenn throws crystal. Workers on the killing floor jump on Ar'dru (he slays 2 with one AoO)
round 2 -Gy, Du, and Ii move up another level, Gy (with natural 20 on initiative for this combat) tackles Ii. Du'minh takes down the catwalk. Ii = gets an action now. Ar'dru = gets an action now. Ya'shenn = gets an action now.
Once again, I know I'm being a bit odd with order of actions, and the time span of a round, but ... 1) no map or miniatures 2) want to acknowledge posts 3) want to keep things moving 4) want to keep things exciting
imo it means u r cutting me short on rounds/ healing...
(and thats in addition to the fact u stated that my healing only properly works in 'combat/ adrelaline creating' situations, which downgrades that abiity sicnificantly)
Not the dorje so much as the crystal. 18 Int psionic creature + psionic power storage crystal + some githyanki...

Sorry if it seems I'm scr*wing you on the healing. I don't mean to (well, maybe a little). Basicly nobody else heals as fast, for free, so I don't want to unballance things too much. The fast healing is OK as a counterbalance to the fact that Ii's strikes with her main weapon cause her to take some damage. Also, I didn't mean that she does NOT heal in non-combat situations, just that a non-combat "round" is much longer than a combat round, so she heals much more slowly when not chopping up others, which I think is totally in line with the feel of the character. Anyway consider the following: in the space of a couple of hours, she could go from knocking on death's door to fully healed, without compromising any other ability in the least, a feat nobody else on the team could accomplish, not even Gy-Nath who has a few levels on her. At best, Gy, as well as Ya'shenn and Ar'dru for that matter, could heal themselves (though I'd have to do the math to see if it was even possible to go from 1 hp to fully healed) but any amount of healing would compromise other abilities.
Anyway, once again, I hope you don't think I'm cutting you short too much, I'm just trying to keep things somewhat ballanced.
EDIT: Wow, the gang's all here (except for Weishan, who's in the woods anyway)
Technically, I'm not aware of anything in the description of Concussion (or greater versions of the power) that requires a touch attack. Heck, the description even indicates it ignores partial cover or concealment. I figure Azure wants me to make a dice roll of some kind, though.

regarding Azure's reply on my healing:
I am still not as good as regeneration, i still lose limbs and still lose my head etc... (loss of head in my case results in death), though as long as i stand on even -9 hp, i still heal a little each round, yes... (does fire still not allow me to heal, just like regen?), it does not anyway make me immortal...

A successful roll to escape, shug off any further grapple attempts in the round, and light a burning dust on your turn the next round.
Wellllll ... technicly you're right, Zim, but then again a dorje works like a wand, which implies you've got to point it. Also, haven't I been requiring a ranged touch attack with it all along?
In one dragon there are character sketches of Dragon riders, and they are supposed to be not 100% sane or something, well, guess, Ii'Jyka is equally amongst them, and she loves jumping and falling like that (remember the duel with Gy, where she jumps swordpoint down at him), this is in a similar vein

She still has very average physical stats.
Once she levels, though, I think I may go for a few psionic powers that deal significant HP damage, but do not require attack rolls to use. There are also some 3.5 psionic classes that aren't as reliant on Vancian manifestation.
Edit: I would actually not at all mind adding the Telekinesis ability. It was actually on Ya'shenn's original character sheet as a racial ability (3.0 version of githyanki), uses a character's Intelligence bonus, and is fun to use creatively.

the good thing about fighter 2 is, that regardless of yr stats it gives u a boost of survivability... (depending also on the choice of feats u take)

There are actually some pretty good tactical uses for the levitate ability -- especially if you can levitate at will like an illithid can.
#1: Just levitate well out of melee range, but within convenient mind blast range. If fighting a party of githyanki rangers, not so great, but most of the time this will significantly inconvenience an adventuring party. Most humanoids (other than Ya'shenn) don't have a dorje of Negate Psionics around.
#2: Levitate above a doorway with a readied grapple or Mind Blast action.
#3: Levitate to the ceiling and move around hand-over-hand. Especially good if the illithid has the stealth ability (rogue, assassin) or can cast or manifest invisibility.
There was a joke in the Goblins comic about an opponent with a readied action and an elevation bonus...

Personally, I don't hope to find valuables on these flayers. They might be carrying information, however, one way or another - maps, names, directions, etc. The odd healing potion or two would also come in handy, of course...

Levitation is indeed a useful asset, though there are some significant risks involved...
Once you go up, you make yourself a clear target for ranged attackers - no thralls to provide cover. The average githyanki band may not have plenty of archers, but they would know of an illithid's levitation ability and employ psionics that don't need to overcome PR, use thrown weapons, or possibly dimension door on top of it.
Usually, you're effectively stranded while levitating, giving the enemy time to surround and cut off escape points. Moving against a ceiling goes very slowly, and wouldn't be hard to keep up with for forces on the ground.
I imagine a flayer using #1 would see trained gith warriors jumping for cover against its mind blast, then resort to pot shots while spread out.
Yeah, giths in general would be very familiar with levitate-related tactics. A typical Prime adventuring party, though...
