I think Az hasn't noticed the site being back up, since I haven't seen him post in other games either.

Best of luck on the interview!

Sorry all, I'm travelling at the moment so with planewalker being down and me not being close to a computer I've been really struggling. Sad

I'll try to post but I'll probably still be a bit absent for 2 more weeks until I get home

[edit] I've caught up with the posts now and running a solo mission would be great, as I said the next 2 weeks could be a little tricky but after that it's back to business as usual.

800 feet (400' + 40' per level, with ECL 10 characters)

800 ft is pretty far in an urban environment, so the greenskirts on the corner are well in range of Ii. You can D-door anywhere you can visualize within this range. You can also D-door in any direction to a place you can't see ( i.e. "300 feet thataway, 50 feet down" ). If the space is occupied by matter alrady, you spend a round 'inbetween' before popping out in the closest available space.

Ii already used 1 of 3 D-doors for today. Racial abilities work like thus: You'll get the 3 per day back when you get a full rest ( 8 hours of sleep )

I admit, I'm also a little unsure... Have we or the pimp and skirts at the entrance heard the commotion? Has Ar'dru caused enough of a ruckus for the signal to effectively have been given?

Sorry B.Spear & Dun, I really didn't intend for you two to get stuck in limbo, quite the opposite. My Bad. I suck, etc. If you guys want to post, we can say you heard the two bangs echo across Sigil (which actually haven't happened yet).

I thought the plan was to rush through the portal but I could be mistaken - if so, sorry about screwing it up.

There should be little opposition on the other side because Ya'shenn and Daraz took care of who they could, and reinforcements should be far away because they heard and saw Ar'dru's fireworks. There's only the pimp and skirts on our side, by the looks of it.

In any case I think it'd be better to conserve our limited 3 times per day until we're in a tight spot.

Actually, no. Mr. Love's initiative was higher than the rest of the party, his spot check was pretty good too (hence why he saw Ii as soon as she stepped from hiding) so no, only ranged weapons will do.

PS, thanks guys, for the mortal support. My pop's OK (mostly), but he'll be out of work for the next 2-3 months ( yowch! )

Azure did u mean which of the following SmilingPuzzled??

androgenous
A male or female (usually young) who could be mistaken for either sex. Usually a feminine boy or a cute girl with boyish features.

Someone whom it is not always obvious at first glance as to whether they are male or female.
Goth / emo often achieve the androgenous look - but make up is not always required.

androgenous
AndrogEnous is not the same as androgYnous (note the difference!).

Androgenous has to do with MALES while androgynous pertains to sexual ambiguity.

One letter makes a BIG difference!!!
Androgenous is often used incorrectly to mean androgynous!
tags androgenous androgynous male female ambiguity

androgenous
A male or female, typically homosexual or bisexual, that displays both feminine and masculine qualities.
Hilary Swank can look nice in a dress and kick ass in her movies; she's so androgenous.
tags homosexual bisexual butch feminine masculine

Sorry, Burning, but from your post, I cannot tell the actual differance between Y and E spellings of the word, please clarify.

For my part, let's just say you haven't "checked under the hood" and true gender of said individual is impossible to confirm until you do. So, did I spell it right or should I have used the other one?

To Dire and/or any other lurkers, potential players, former and current players of BoG'r:

I've said so before, but anyway ...

This game is rated "DND Mature" as defined in various 3.x publications. I don't want to break Planewalker's "Grandma Rule", (i.e. don't post anything that will offend your gandma), but then again, my Gram watches hockey. Hockey.

Combat will be graphic and bloody. Mature themes will be explored, etc. This is the theme of the campaign. I'm going for a kind of horror/adventure feel.

That said, I've never asked anyone's ages, real names, home addresses, etc. If someone wishes such things be known they wil volunteer said information. The game is strictly "read at your own risk" and, by extension "play at your own risk". I expect, in the spirit of community, and in the name of good taste, someone will let me know if and when I take it too far toward the "vile content" (as I had assumed Zim did when she quit right before the assault on the Hive Brothel)

Well, if it hasn't been crystal clear before let me reiterate:

I think the game is great as is. I'm a mature person and I enjoy mature entertainment, which BoGR is. The game content has not come close to making me uncomfortable - I like action, horror, social realism (even if in a fictional fantasy setting), among other themes. I'm pleased.

On a more cheerful note, I'd like to point out that our game has had its anniversary a week ago. Three cheers! Smiling

Hey, the only thing I've ever said about you is that I think you're a great DM but don't like playing evil characters, especially violent ones.

I like dark mature sorts of settings, because it makes your being a hero actually significant, unlike in normal D&D settings where adventurers are supposedly commonplace but it just so happens that none have stumbled upon this particular adventure yet. Playing a bad guy in a dark campaign seems like pretty much a parallel to that, really.

Sigil cant. Two copper pieces.

It actually kind of reminded me of ancient Greek burial rituals, where they would put a copper obol under someone's tongue, to pay Charon for the boat trip across the Styx.

It's Sigil slang for copper pieces, because copper can get greenish. Similarly, silver is called stingers because they sting silver-sensitive creatures, like some devils. Gold is called jinx, can't remember why.
