I love that "HELP!!!" smiley. His expression is perfect. :help!!:
Edit: Hmm, I wonder if someone will communicate that the flayers are getting more... alert.

AHahah! You're absolutely right wei - perhaps the reason i'm not afraid is cause i have human shield.. perhaps if evil DM turned that human shield into a human sword by making the flayers dominate him... then I would be more scared.. not that i'd want it to happen

Pah, I don't have enough HP to be a threat to you. Ya'shnen without power points is the only one who has cause to worry. Unfortunately, it is a fair point, though I've definitely got the lowest will save in the party.
heheh. (Ya'shenn has an item that would help with that, in the specific case of mental domination.)

Plans provided, in-game. This is how I think it could work out:
Daraz and Rey hit the illithids as best they currently are able, trying to either chase or bait them towards Du'minh and Ya'shenn, if possible.
"Portal" illithid may be lured into an ambush this way, though "Street" illithid may go up for street-level through the wine shop. This way, he'll run into our new "ally", who will likely toast him to bits.
There's lots of "if"s here, but waiting around only increases the chance of us losing the squids before we can do any damage to them.

Fun of Play-By-Post
Zimrazim, the funniest thing happened, concerning your contact with the Bloodstone (as we'll call him for now) and your warnings: At first I thought "She just signed these two berks' death notes." Then I thought "Hey, she might have just saved their necks again." Then I thought "Oh, he's gonna kill 'em after all, to keep 'em 'quiet', isn't he ... "

I'm glad you liked it! Now I'll have to try my best to keep his laconic speech patterns going. To tell the truth, I look forward to the literary challenge.

Was kind of waiting for players to post. If everyone could do so, it'd be great. In fact, I believe declaring actions and rolling initiative would be in order.
What "ve got so far: Daraz, then Vivec, invisible and thusfar undetected in the pipe. Ya'shenn and Du'minh setting up an ambush outside the other pipe (right?). The Bloodstone upstairs to cover the street escape.

Well... Daraz and Vivec can't see the illithids yet, I don't think, and I don't think you can sneak attack what you can't see.
(Not saying a successful sneak attack will necessarily occur, but that would probably be the goal.)

No, probably not, the problem with a ranged sneak attack is that I get only 1 shot before I get cherged by a PO'ed mind flayer without a propper weapon to defend myself.
Do we know what this other spot (the ambush spot) looks like, or was it blocked by nondetection?
Exactly like the other spot, except no water is coming out of this pipe.

"We're making a better world. All of them, better worlds." - Anonomous Harmonium Officer
[DirectorDM - Here is your character's motivation: it is taboo for a non-githyanki to even touch a Silver Sword. Not that it's a capital offence or anything (like trying to steal one would be) but it is still a cultural no-no. It would be quite a leap for Ar'dru to allow this, no matter how much he may want to help Lind. Will he do it folks? Tune in next time ...]
ooc- while Ar'dru's sword is very impressive, and he quite enjoyed having Lind admire it, he put it away in my last post. She doesn't get to touch that on a first date (he's planning on using his hand).
We're going to get this for ages, aren't we?
Sex sells, baby!

Y'know Zim, I never asked, and you in no way obiged to answer, but are you just playing a female character? If not, how comforable would you be with an IC love interest for Ya'shenn?
Now, I really should make the disclamer: I have no problem playing female characters (though I wonder sometimes how realistic they can really be when I do) and I have absolutely no problem with IC flirting. (Truth be told, I'm straight, but certainly not narrow). Similarly, I'm willing to turn it around for female PCs. I just don't want to take it too far and make anybody uncomfortable, that's for sure. Any 'doin the nasty' will be totally off-camera.
An understandable question! Yes, I am really actually female. (I will grant that I don't particularly fit the stereotype, but what would you expect from someone who plays a female Githyanki?)
To answer the question, I wouldn't be offended, though obviously it would depend on the IC situation.

Even better, I'll throw a few options at Ya'shenn, and she can make her own decisions.
That's the way all adventures should be: Kicking ass and tapping ass.
With my local group we play at pretty much the same "maturity rate" that BoGR is at.
I'm pretty secure in my manhood and as DM don't mind roleplaying a NPC that my players try to seduce. Its all in good and lighthearted fun when one of them seduce the local barmaid, though any action "fades to black".
It also happens to be an opportune time for a nemesis to pull off an assassination. At least the PC died happy.
A Githyanki invasion of Earth would certainly be entertaining...
