So the message boards are back up! YAY!!!
And the display in Mozilla 1.7.5 is distinctly odd, in a way that sends weird itchy feelings up my shoulderblades. NOOOOOO...
Visible problems:
- Forums and subforums don't have any title bar information ("Thread name", "Number of posts", "Number of views", et cetera).
- Subforum displays often show no information at all, or highly inaccurate information, in the "Most recent post" area.

Alright, well you fixed the thing where the forums were arranging threads by first post posted and not by last post posted...
But I'm not able to remain logged in. I login, click the keep me logged in buttong and when I come back I'm logged out.
And when I post I STILL only see my Reply and not the whole thread plus my reply.
Yup. "Always Stay Logged In" works fine on all of my other forums, just not this one.... escept it just worked this time....
Hm. Might have been a temporary thing. My question for you - are you getting the notifications for new threads / seeing the unread thread marker for threads?
The "won't stay logged in issue happens with me, too. It has ever since the site came back online, actually, though it hardly mattered when it was only planewalker and not the forums. It even unchecks my "Always stay logged in" box. It remembers my name and password in the proper fields, but I just always come to the site unlogged.
Two columns o' numbers, one of which is the number of posts in the thread, one of which is... unclear, neither of which are labelled.
Adding one myself so I know to fix it: new posts not reliably registering as unread.
I appear to be having the 'can't stay logged in' bug and the 'can't see new post notification icons' bug. Just for confirmation that these are, indeed, problems

The last login for users was being updated cross site whereas before It was just a forum thing. So anytime one logged into the site itself to look at things your login was updating - but was *not* snagging the new posts that it was supposed to.
With any luck - what I just did should correct that.

For some reason, the autologin isn't working. You mighr already know this, but hey.
Did you make sure to clear your cookies and re-login?
Not yet, no. It seems to be working right now, though.
I *think* I have diagnosed the autologin issues. Here's what I've found:
- First visit to Planewalker: Obviously not logged in, first visit. Log in, check autologin, get a cookie (named planewalker, set to work on any .planewalker.com site) that's set to expire in a month's time. No problems here.
- Second visit to Planewalker: The user has an autologin cookie, so the system reads it and logs the user in. This process apparently destroys the cookie, without replacing it - at least, at the time I write this, I have no cookie named planewalker.
- Third visit to Planewalker: The autologin cookie was destroyed by the previous autologin process, so there's no current data and no autologin occurs. Seems to match the behavior reported by Nick and other forumgoers.
Behavior's occuring on a Mozilla 1.7.5 browser, BTW. Hope this proves helpful.
*scratches head* Ok - I'll check. It might be that there's a logout command being called as some point in the cookie checking where it shouldn't be. One moment....

Looking better at this point - four browser visits and autologin's still working. Anyone else who was noticing this error still having difficulties?

Also note: New forums where the feedback generates a thread. Will be working on pulling those systems closer and closer together...
I am only getting one notice when people reply to a post that I have replied to... when I should be gettihng two or three because two or three people have posted after me. Just thought you would like to know.
That's proper behavior actually. We don't want to flood email accounts.

Yeah - it was sorta broke before but no one complained and I had bigger fish to fry so I let it be.
For some reason, I'm getting huge blank spaces in between the "Edit a post" area, and the previous posts.
What browser and can you get me a screenshot?

You then have a great big huge area of blank darker grey background, then the previous posts with their little scroll-bar-inside-the-page.
In the who is online box, no body's user name is down there, it just lists the total number of posts, the total number of articals, the total number of of registered users, the newest registered user, and when the most users were online, were is the listing of who is on right now?
Yeah, the edit a post thing is affecting me too.
Removed due to issues with effeciency on that list. It was fairly minor really, so I wasn't sure anyone was even going to notice.

I'm having a problem with the timezone settings in the profile.
When I try to change it it doesn't work through. I select GMT+1, click update and that's that. When I then view the boards they're still marked at GMT-5. Thus I load my profile again and it shows GMT-5 instead of GMT+1.

I tried to send you that email, but I couldn't tell if the picture upload was just taking a long time, or if it crashed, so I aborted it. I've got the screenshots on my hard drive, though if you're on MSN at the same time as me (unlikely, given that I live in Australia, but you never know) I could send them to you that way.
Alternatively, you could get one of the other folks who are having the same problem to send you theirs.

Also I am not able to get back to the forums from my Private Messages, through the link. There is no error message, it just says "Wasn't able to find link" on my browser.

For some reason, my "Entries" thing says -3.
That seems impossible, so you might want to take a look at how that happened.
Also, sometimes threads start new pages without any posts on them. If you want an example, take a look at the "Great minds think alike" RP thread at the moment.
It doesn't give the user's number of posts. It just says: "Posts"
Edit: After I posted this, it returned me to a screen that had only the post I had just made on it, and not the rest of the thread. Also, when I returned here to edit it, it put the posts in decending order, rather than ascending order, so that the first post in the thread is the one closest to the Posting box. So, the most visible post in the thread is the first one made, not the most recent one, and theoretically the one most directly related to my reply.
No comments options for articles.
