Summitfinder decides that this is apparently some sort of competition, and starts pulling faces back at the tiefling, or anyone else who cares to watch. Not terribly well, because he hasn't as much practice, nor does he have slightly pointed teeth, etc. And, of coure, the rocky patches on his skin to tend to make parts of it somewhat inflexible. Still, he's trying.

As the ship gets closer, the swirling blackness becomes more distinct against the void behind it. There's a faint breeze, and the ship passes through. Abruptly, you all find yourselves in the air above a great city. The entire city seems to be made of metal, and pieces of it are in constant motion, clanking and grinding being a common noise from the city. Overally, the city seems to be slowly rotating clockwise.
'Landings here are always a little difficult,' Kulat said. 'You might want to hold onto one of the poles.'

Before the 'ship' passes through the portal, Rik takes care to untie the rope and place it back in his pack.
The 'ship' has passed into Kazzex.
Rik is still sitting in the middle of the platform looking through his book. Rik takes a deep breath and addresses Charlotte in a calm voice without taking his eyes off his book "You see? I told you there was nothing to worry about. And I am pretty sure most of the population here can understand Common too"
Hearing Bruce, Rishhad and Sirrus claiming this place looks like different planes Rik stands up and walks to the edge of the platform, taking care to hold tight one of the poles. Rik looks down with interest at the metal city and then says in a merry voice "To each his own I say." Rik has never been to Mechanus or Sigil but he has once been to Elysium and can't see any resemblance between it and Kazzex.
