Is it possible to get a complete listing of a writers/authors work by clicking somewhere? Can't seem to find it, but its probably there.

It's possible to construct one - I just hadn't seen a need to... I assume you're talking about for the website submissions, not the PSCS releases?

It might be cool to be able to click on a author of an article you really liked and see what other things they have submitted. Or is that something that is possible now that I just haven't noticed?

We've got a search function that'll locate it (left side under planewalker - "search planewalker").

There's a couple of different places we could put a link like that. I'm inclinded to put it in the entry itself as in: See more articles by this person. (click able link) - As opposed to making it something that shows on the author name. That if anything may be nice to have as a link to a forum PM.

Wow you reply to these things fast do you have ESP or is the forum just somehow hardwired into your brain?

Nope - I'm sitting in a computer lab on one of the fastest connections on the planet. Eye-wink Ah, the joys of being in college. And I check email compulsively. And the forum sends me notifications.

Cool thanks that should be really helpful as the works pile up here I imagine. Laughing out loud

Cool?

I was wondering if maybe extending the "See other works by this author" links to the message boards would be an idea? I don't know if that's possible, or even desireable, but I would use them!

Cool?

I would say probably not with this forum engine. It is "messy" (to be polite). Our beloved Clueless is working on an upgrade. You never know what will be in it if you put a bug in her ear about something.

Hm. Bug. In my ear. *blaaaugh*

On some level there's another reason not to do this actually. We're having a bit of a hard time getting the results from some of the forum conversations and groups - to actually be written up for the site. While it would be convinent for 'see other works' to include material from the forums - it may in the end also defeat our purpose here. I'd do it for the new version of the code if I didn't feel that was a big risk with the idea.

Don't know if I made myself clear, but I'll have another go at it:

Having Author links to the articles on Planewalker (main-site) under the picture of the avatars in the forum is what I meant. Under no circumstance would I like to have every post that person have made under the search. That would look ... messy.

OH! You mean getting phpbb to go the OTHER direction. Hm. not that *is* an idea.
