Anthraxus and the Horned Society

It occurs to me I could crosspost this. It's a take on the history of the Horned Society in the Greyhawk campaign that integrates Mydianchlarus's coup against Anthraxus as a major element explaining the organization's recent shift in focus.

Anyway, it's here: http://canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=961

I've dealt with the coup before. Previously, I made it more mysterious and surreal, tying it in with the unknowable schemes of the baernaloths and the exiles of Shemeska the Marauder and Akin. For this article, it's much more pedestrian and recent (though the more recent date probably fits with canon better, making the coup happen in the early years of 2nd edition rather than centuries ago). Instead of whispering an unknowable and profound secret about the baernaloths and Anthraxus's own origin, compelling him to search for the memories the Gloomfathers had taken from him, Mydianchlarus simply tricks him, advising him to interfere with a mortal kingdom and then making a side deal with the demonic alliance of Iggwilv, Zuggtmoy, and Iuz to have the Oinoloth's physical body slain at a key point. Not quite as intriguing, but different storylines for different purposes. Though I might want to think about how to combine the two ideas...
