Alternate Ultroloth Stats?

Anyone have good ideas for Ultroloth stats that don't have anything to do with the weak stats from the MotP and MMIII?

Somehow I was thinking of giving the Ultroloth some abilities like the Warlock, since I actually like it when monsters have class abilities rather than some random collection of spell-like abilities.

Just use the standard CR 13 version, and either just add warlock class levels right on top, or, better yet, take the base race and give it the abillity to invoke and use Eldritch blasts as a Warlock. Sort of like how Arcanaloths have integrated sorceror casting. Either way, you should probably keep the Challenge Rating at less than twenty, so that it matches Balors and Pit Fiends. Plus you don't want its CR to be too high, because games rarely continue after level twenty (which has more to do with the totally nonfunctional epic rules than anything else).

I think ultroloths should be CR 20 (not less than) so as to be on even ground with the pit fiend and balor. I, personally, use these yugoloths.

Your right. 20 is a good CR. For some reason I thought Balors and Pit Fiends were weaker than that.

I always pictured the Ultraloth to be more psionically oriented. The warlock powers just seem a bit too flashy for the sinister 'alien' feel of the ultraloth.
Also, the warlock seems to represent brute force (albeit magical force) whereas the Yugoloth hierachy seems to promote subtlety and intelligence over raw power.

I'd definately add some sort of spellcasting to them. Possibly a few psionic powers as well 9mostly to do with that telepathy).

True, but since warlocks are supposed to get their powers from fiends, it would make sense if at least some fiends have the powers of a warlock. I wouldn't necessarily make them standard, but it wouldn't be a bad thing for individuals.

Wouldn't you just use a baernoloth's stats, with appropriate penalties for having a lampshade covering their heads?
