Hi. I´m a GM of a Neverwinter Nights server and i introduced a player to Tir Na Og (we play at Faerun but i decided to "travel" whit the players to the planes). I love celtic mithology and i want to use all information i know about it but i need some piece of advice because ia was looking for information about Tir Na Og of the Outlands, because there is not so much about it. I have "a players prime to the Outlands" but there is only a few data about the land (places, npcs, etc).Of all the books of setting, Exists some that speaks of the subject? If not i will usemy imagination and the celtic mithology. Thanks!
About Tir Na Og
Thanks a lot!!!!
I will read the topic right now! Thanks again!
I'd be behind a reboot of that book project. I think I had hopes for a netbook on the Outlands, and then branching out into in depth on any other planes we could get people interested in enough to write up. The problem of course being that outside of the Tir we couldn't drum up quite enough material in the first go around. What can I say, people like Tir.
Just to clarify, I'm really talking about the thread, not a full blown PSCS document - if nothing else I need a nice long rest after
Desire and the Dead!
Its a shame there wasn't more interest in developing an Outlands gazetteer - looking back at the original PS setting boxed set, it feels kind of like they want it to be the default 'wilderness' setting for Planar adventurers. On the other hand, the philosphical heart of the Outlands seems quite hard to pin down in black and white (Tir Nan Og is a piece of cake by comparison) and that's without getting started on places like the Hinterlands. But then again, I suppose that would bring us back to the need for a Gazetteer again.
The Unity of Rings and all that....
I had more to write about Dwarven Mountain, but got distracted, haha. I should get back on that.
Hey, I'm getting more time to devote to pulling materials together. So... let me know if you're in.
Funny you should ask! There was some talk about a potential PSCS release for Tir Nan Og a while ago... and I was thinking of trying to ressurect it. .The thread is here and contains an absolute ton info and campaign ideas - at least in my opinion
Its based on a mix of Planescape canon, celtic myth, and homebrew ideas. It will probably save you a lot of time and effort.
