A Few Questions

Well, there are some things that we've had some questions about... that would be Fidrikon, Dread Pirate Swan, and I...

more things as such will turn up, but I only have time for a couple more posts so yeah...

In the Astral Plane, we all know that time doesn't exist- or more or less it's... heh thats hard to explain logically lol... but anyway, that also stops natural healing and aging, but spells are enhanced in this area as well and even though there's no natural healing you can heal by magic- so would maic that can alter certian amounts of time such as haste and slow work?

Probably not. (And ditto for time stop for that matter) - those spells are *not* chronomancy! They don't actually affect *time*. They just speed you up physically, or slow you down. In the case of time stop - it doesn't in fact stop time or move you out of time - it temporarily makes you The Flash, just making you *that* fast that it seems like people are stopped.

but what about spells with the same effects, that are time based?

I've never liked the super-speed explanation for time stop. It makes the physicist in me cringe with the possibilities it allows for, but denies out of hand. Like, if you're really moving that fast you should be able to annihilate the stuff around you with mighty blows, rather than finding it impossible to affect.

If a wizard invented the spell and he knew what it really does, would he call it "time stop"? Laughing out loud

Oh yeah... Now I was wondering, in the campaign that I've been working on I came up with the idea to make one of my Prime Material Planes really demented and a bit twisted (inspiration was my love of creepy and disturbing things)... but what type of effect would this have on it's plane of shadow- if it's already screwed up, will it become the opposite or will it be even more wierd and twisted? or in other words, if the shadow plane had a shadow plane, what would it be like?

there would be all sorts of cows and aliens and......wait wrong forum......i'd imagine that the shadow plane's shadow plane would be like a normal, everyday old place.

The twisted shadows of twisted shadows would only be twisted further. It wouldn't suddenly become fluffy and friendly, or anything like that.

Well, to get art into the Artist's Alley section of planewalker (we aren't just forums you know!) log into my planewalker, and submit an entry! I could get a little more detailed, but generally that system is pretty intuitive - let me know if it causes any hangups.

I'm just fishing about the pants for something good here, but I'd guess that the Kadyx smells like cinnamon, and tieflings come from fiends...

Personally, I'd be willing to let the planetouched races do all kinds of weird flavour-stuffs. Planescape is all about character weirdness. Well, okay, there's something about the power of belief in there, too, but who's paying attention to that?
