Shadow

There are many forms of shadows found on the Plane+of+Shadow and elsewhere. Some of those shadows are innocuous, some have uncanny and dangerous intellects, and some of them are undead.

This article is about the undead kind.

Undead shadows drain strength from their victims with a chilling touch.1 2 They are undetectable in all but the brightest of surroundings.
1 2 A shadow is 5 to 6 feet tall and is weightless.2 Shadows cannot speak intelligibly.2

Shadows exist primarily in the Negative+Energy+Plane1, but can be found elsewhere, particularly in the Plane of Shadow. Many originate in the Fortress of Regrets.3 They were originally created as part of an ancient curse1 3, but those slain by shadows become shadows themselves, so the "race" perpetuates itself even after the curse has become irrelevant.
