Long ago, when the planes were first forming, it is thought that unthinkably ancient races represented the primal alignments of Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil.
The name of only one of these races is recorded: the baernaloths. It is thought that a good-aligned equivalent may still exist behind the scenes in Elysium, directing the activities of the guardinals.
