The PMC: A1 was released by TSR in 1994. The book supplements the Monstrous Compendium found in the Planescape boxed set, and two more Appendixes would follow it.
The PMC: A1 contains many monsters that would become synomonous with Planescape. It contained most of the Baatezu, Tanar'ri, Yugoloths, and detailing Tieflings as a playable race. Other monsters include the: Marut, Mephits, Bodak, Githzerai and Githyanki.
