Monte Cook was part of the core Planescape design team. He wrote The Planewalker's Handbook, Dead Gods, and the Planescape Monstrous Compendium Appendix III, and co-wrote The Inner Planes, The Great Modron March, and Faction War. He was one of the primary designers of the 3rd edition D&D game and now runs his own imprint, Malhavoc Press, which has printed such titles as Beyond Countless Doorways and Requiem For a God.
