Hati Hrodvitnisson, the wolf that chases the moon through the skies, and his brother, Skoll, pursuer of the sun (which is piloted by Odur), are descendants of the Fenris Wolf. They fly closely behind the sun and moon, attempting to catch and devour them. Their efforts cause the eclipses.
