An Epic is a long narrative poem usually about gods, heroes, and
legendary events; celebrates the history, culture, and character of a
people.
In Dungeons & Dragons characters can become like epic like these poems through hard work and surviving difficulties. They are termed in mechanic terms as Epic-Level Characters and are heroes, antagonists and villains of great power.
