Dood! That straight out kicks ass. By far, this is one of the best fan-based pieces of artwork I've seen to date.

Nothing I don't already tell my students...

The best thing to do is focus on value, or the idea of light and dark. Relying on contour lines can ruin the feel of a piece.

One thing I've noticed is that many of the artwork in D&D products nowadays lack negative space, or background. I'm trying to make this stand out more in my pieces here.

The reaction to this makes me wish Shallas turned out better in the scanner. I'll just have to experiment with appropriate materials for scanning.

Don't feel too bad about that one. Scanners and colored pencils for some reason just hate working together. There's probably a solution to that, but I don't know who to ask.
