Palace of Judgement

Hi, everyone. I've just joined Planewalker, though I've been following this site since the old website.

I'm currently running a campaign with some friends and I was wondering if there was any guide/book/fanpage where I can find info on the Palace of Judgement, the divine realm of Yeng-Wang-Yeh. I know little of D&D's version of the Celestial Bureaucracy, but I do know that this realm is actually a giant city where Yeng-Wang-Yeh's bureaucracy sorts the petitioners and send them to their respective afterlifes. It can be homebrew.

Thanks a lot in advance!

The Palace is on the Outlands

The Palace is on the Outlands and there are a couple of paragraphs on it in "A Player's Primer to the Outlands." It is said to be a bustle of activity, with more than one judge reviewing cases - I would assume Yen-Wang-Yeh is basically the chief justice, with most fates settled by lower functionaries, and by the time he's judging a case, there is something cosmically difficult about it.

The blurb says that there are conduits from the Palace to every other Outer Plane -- used, of course, by the judged souls. It says anyone else getting approval to use them is apparently quite rare. Obviously if it were easy the Palace of Judgment would be a planar travel hub almost as good as Sigil!

I would also presume the gates from the Palace of Judgment open specifically to domains of the Celestial Bureaucracy on the various planes they reach, since theirs are the petitioners being judged. The rare soul devoted to another pantheon that comes through no doubt has special circumstances and is escorted specifically to whatever judgment is decreed.

Thanks a lot!

Wow, thanks a lot for your help! It's weird that there's so little in canon about this pantheon. Again, thanks a lot!
