Individuals that are both gifted and trained are known as Anarchs; they are able to form objects of extreme complexity, including cities and life forms.

Contortion

Trained to have supple muscles and flexible joints, the contortionist can bend into positions that would be painful or even harmful to an untrained person. Use contortion to squeeze through small holes in walls, wriggle out of a straightjacket; hide in a box that's too small for someone your size, or twist out of the way of an attack.

Knowledge [the Tanar'ri]

You are well versed in the lore of tanar'ri creatures. This skill may be used to help determine the probable lairs, dining habits, and history of such creatures (DC 15). Whenever a character with this skill confronts a tanar'ri, he or she may try to specifically identify the creature (discerning between a alu-fiend and a succubus, for instance). In addition, providing the character makes another successful skill check (DC 25), he or she recalls the creature's specific weaknesses and natural defenses or immunities.

Use this skill to learn what's on the other side of a portal or gate before stepping through.Checks: You can determine certain facts about a particular gate or portal. DC 15 (by intuition and observation, the character determines whether a given portal leads into a setting or situation of direct and immediate harm.) DC 20 (the character determines the plane on the other side of the gate or portal.) DC 25 (The character determines the general environment on the other side of the gate or portal.) Retry: None.

Speak Language (Concordant)

Whenever a character with this skill confronts a baatezu, he or she may try to identify the creature (discerning between a lemure and a nupperibo, for instance). In addition, providing the character makes another successful skill check (DC 25), he or she recalls the creature's specific weaknesses and natural defenses or immunities.

Knowledge [Fiends]

A character with this skill is well versed in the lore of yugoloth and gehreleth creatures. This proficiency may be used to help determine the probable lairs, dining habits, and history of such creatures (no ability check needed). Whenever a character with this skill confronts an fiend, he or she maybe able to specifically identify the creature (discerning between a farastu and a kelubar, for instance). In addition, providing the character makes another successful ability check, he or she recalls the creature's specific weaknesses and natural defenses or immunities.

Knowledge (Planes of Law, Chaos or Conflict)

A character with this skill knows well the history of these planes (Law, Chaos or Conflict), the plane's inhabitants, how magic is affected there and some of the plane's well hidden secrets. If the skill check fails the DM may choose to give error information or information of another plane.Checks: Answering a question within your field of study has a DC 10 (for really easy questions), 15 (for basic questions), or 20 to 30 (for really tough questions).
