Githyanki Martial Tradition – Part 2. Innate Psionics

Dunamin's picture

“I had my eyes trained on the gith, but somehow I still didn’t see him coming. I was dead certain my aim would strike true, but it seemed like my sight did not relay the information to my sword arm. Then I stumbled over nothing, my focus blurred, and suddenly my blood was all over his blade. Last thing I remember was yielding.”

- Noel, recently resurrected planewalker

Githyanki Martial Tradition – Part 1. Mentality

Dunamin's picture

“Never kill a worthy foe casually, young ones. Plunge your blade hilt-deep in his chest while shouting your defiance to his face, lock eyes with him, and watch the vitality rapidly drain away until there is but the faintest flicker of life left. Then you twist.”

- Rev’keth, varsh overseer

Githyanki Insults

Zimrazim's picture

Githyanki are normally polite toward one another... but not always. None of the insults below should be used against a githyanki carelessly by the wise.

Math and Mechanus IV: Funxions

sciborg2's picture

Legends speak of a group of marraenoloths who, tainted by the greed of their race, sought to find the Axioms and use an artifact in their possession to usurp their power. Somehow, these planar travelers managed to find the hidden kingdom of the Axioms who emerged from their immaculate dwellings of perfect geometries. Upon seeing the indescribable beauty of those who are Foundation of All Things, the marraenoloths surrended without a battle and begged only to serve.

Tanzu

Vaevictis Asmadi's picture

This odd species of Outsider is intended to make an interesting and thought-provoking sort of antagonist, especially for Druids, and a lesson in the balance of nature. People often think of death as bad or even evil; the Tanzu demonstrate that life is never that simplistic. Druids probably spend a lot of time preventing the destruction of wildlife, but they would have to stop the Tanzu’s actions or ecosystems would be damaged and eventually, completely collapse.

What's the Point?

Draken

Gerzel's picture

Personality: Draken are a large strong reptilian race that seem to be native to the Outlands, living in the closest inner rings. Some graybeards have theorized that the Draken are somehow related to the khaasta as ancestors, while Draken lore has them related to two dragons that "nested in the spire." Their relative small numbers, general mistrust of outsiders bordering on xenophobia, and their home being so close to the spire make the Draken a little known race.

J'tok (Psionic version)

Fidrikon's picture

Personality: The J'tok are a people of the mind. They are ever seeking out new knowledge and new stories. Part of this is their nature, but many J'tok take on this quest for information with an almost fanatical urgency.
