Last Resort

Carnifex's picture

This small dagger looks fragile, but a series of jagged teeth line the edge of the blade. The hilt itself is covered with dried blood, most likely the blood of the users who held the weapon and were unable to release their grip. Research indicates that this cursed dagger has had many names, the most prominent of which was "Last Resort." When equipped, the user cannot release the grip until death, or until the curse is lifted by spell or divine intervention (Wish, Limited Wish or Miracle spells).

This artifact was said to be wielded by Shengalis, a proxy of Heironeous for over 200 years before he was released from his duty. The blade was left with Shengalis and given a blessing from the God of Valour himself. The wielder must be a follower of Heironeous; any who are not devoted to this god immediately get blasted by the God's wrath.

A well-known and respected fiend from the Lower Planes, Kalem'Darr was a member of the Fated faction in Sigil. His businesses were spread far and wide, and it was said he had a glittering touch, for every enterprise he undertook was successful. He planned carefully, took few risks, and prospered. Occasionally, he was forced to collect on debts - which could be bloody undertakings, but in the end, he always received his payments. One day, one of his debtors came to Kalem'Darr and told him he could not settle his debt with coin...

Long Sword +3/+5 vs. Outsiders This is an exceptionally well crafted long sword of unique design. It is beautiful on one side of the blade and hideously brutal on the other reflecting the nature of the beings it is designed to kill. The weapon smith who crafted the hilt outdid himself for the beautiful side has designs of Celestial bodies such as Devas and other Angels. The other shows the Fiends in all their fury and hatred. The way that the two sides come together into one piece is truly outstanding.

This axe was created by the god Erythnul to aid in his cause. Given to his Highpriest of Slaughter, the weapon exists to inpire hatred and rage in all it encounters. The blade appears to be continuously soaked in blood, but is dry to the touch, if a little warm. The axe's blades are covered with small skulls from hundreds of different creatures. When used in combat, the skulls along the blade of the weapon come alive and begin to chatter their teeth. When the weapon strikes the teeth extand to rip and tear the flesh of the victim.

Warblades of the Lower Planes

Anonymous's picture

These blades are singular weapons forged over the aeons of the Blood War. All, regardless of the intended (original) user, were forged in the Outlands. Thus far, legends reveal the existence of at least 13 Warblades. All of these unique weapons have several common properties: Each blade (unless otherwise noted) functions as a +2 Sword of Sharpness (severing a limb other than the head on a natural 18+).

False Salvation-Warblade of the Lower Planes

Anonymous's picture

This warblade is a long sword of exceptional steel. The blade is highly polished and engraved with incredibly detailed filigree work. The silver crosspiece (guard and quillons) is also highly polished, and takes the form of a maltese cross; with the 'base' of the cross a gold wire-wrapped, finely tooled red leather grip. The silver pommelstone is set with a pair of purple amethysts. However, its appearance is deceiving - it is a highly cursed weapon meant to seduce and destroy agents of Good.
