Lualyrr is actually a yochlol elevated to her current position by Lolthboth because of her zeal and in order to help Lolth to restore and increase her power after the new drow gods have worn away some of her power. Her home in the Abyss is a vast torture chamber, in Lolth's level, which she shares with the numerous inquisitors and several tanar'ri. There she tortures those that Lolth brings to her and keeps those tortured by her priests and that when alive where sacrificed.

Role-playing informationShe keeps a low profile and rarely sends out her sole avatar so as not to endanger it. She sometimes sends omens to her priesthood and is very watchful lest they do something that will displease Lolth for fear that Lolth will strip her of her godhood.

CharacterWorship. So, you think you know the nature of worship? You think that worship comes from following your god's ethos and living by his rule? Here you will find the true nature of worship. It is fools like you that are so easy to convert. Worship is not following one's god, but stems from knowing that the worship of that god can bring you power over others so that you may rule them. And to know that you must worship the Queen of the Demonweb Pits and pay lip service to her Handmaiden.

PowerLulayrr, a minor power in the drow pantheon controls this section of the Demonweb Pits. Lualyrr is a vengeful power and vents that power against those who perform one of the following acts: refuse to worship Lolth, refuse to pay lip service to her, or undermines the Order of the Drow Society. Under the thumb of Lolth she cringes, but may very well bring Lolth's downfall if she believes it will give her power and/or stop the other drow powers from destroying her. Another desire of her is to use her torture methods against a deity, even a demigod. She is very certain that her methods would make that god worship Lolth.

DescriptionStanding on the strands that fill the layer in the shape of an egg sack. If you dare to come near you may well hear the screams emanating from it. The citadel is dreary and resembles the dungeons of prime-worlds' citadels on it's inside. Screams of agony can be heard at all times and are never stopped.

Principal townsThere are no towns in this realm. Lualyrr's few petitioners either become subjects for torture or may rise above it and become torturers themselves, turning into Inquisitors (FR MC appendix2).

Special ConditionsEvery time a creature suffers damage in this realm they must save vs. spells or suffer a -1 (cumulative for every failed save) to all attack rolls, saves and ability checks. Once a sod reaches a -10 penalty he cannot move due to the pain and will usually be taken by the Inquisitor to a torture chamber where a dark fate awaits him. A penalty disappears 1 turn after being taken.

Principal Nonplayer CharactersMany of the "inhabitants" of this realm fancy themselves to be the best and the most valued by their cruel goddess but the two most important are Grontaul (Pr/male drow/inquisitor/6HD/CE), an inquisitor from the drow city of Grom-Taeral that cleared his city from a house that worshipped Daermon, and Ash'Faenga (Pl/male major cambion/4HD/CE). Ash'faenga is a strange cambion, even by the standards of the Abyss. He is the son of a powerful drow mage with Lualyrr while she was still a yochlol. His strange heritage grants him the ability to cast spells as a 12th level mage and he is a specialist in the spells of mentalism, preferring to torture his enemies within their mind without inflicting physical damage.

ServicesThose who come to this realm seek one of three things: to learn the secret of torture from those who have mastered it, rescue someone being tortured there, or to try and destroy the Black Spider rumored to be found here and to be the source of Lualyrr's godhood. All three of them should be aware that Lualyrr and her servants, in their delight of torture, might very well decide to practice their skills on those poor souls. The Black Spider is a tale fabricated by Lualyrr to draw some of her enemies to her. But it is true that those who dwell here are legendary in their skill of torture, and the best example is a planetar they managed to subvert to evil and transform into a rutterkin. Stories say that they managed to break his faith in the upper planes and in the cause of goodness that he even begged to become the rutterkin he transformed into. It should be noted that other gods of the drow pantheon dismiss this as screed.
