It was long before the planeborne's reach of memory that he came to be as he is today. Still, echoes of the past can be heard when his raids come to the Lord of Dreams realm. The nightmares, as many call them storm and disturb the Mbe, putting fear in their hearts. Fia-So did not break any laws or rebelled against any truth. He awoke after a sleep of millennia under the care of Mbo-Ya and saw many changes in the multiverse. He saw the yugoloths moving and races emerging from the ashes of the former ones, celestials dealing with fiends and the mirror-race of the Spire having parted forever. The Bao saw the Mbe on the land, contemplating the stars and worshipping Mbo-Ya. For a moment he thought of questioning the Lord of Dreams why, but he reconsidered and came to his own conclusion. He came to know logic. He was a Bao turned to information gathering and communication. He knew there was nothing to talk, but he did anyway and left Arborea. He came to terms with the current race that inhabited Baator at that time. Establishing himself in Avernus, to watch the falling of the stars he did not want to go back to. The present race was weak, having just come to power after much conflict and needed protection on their front door, thus the affinity came to be. It would be centuries before he came back to Arborea, saying he had learned all he wanted. He had seen the mysteries of the rivers and the power of communication. He went to the chamber of the Bao and awakened Tya-Lu. When Mbo-Ya saw him awakening her, he asked why and Fia-So offered him the knowledge and perfect logic and mind setting he discovered in his quest. Mbo-Ya refused and asked him to part. Tya-Lu, however accepted the offer and moved with him, along with many Mbe that heard his words. So was the race divided and parted. The Arborean counterpart is more numerous, but Fia-So knows better and has greater plans. He deals with the baatezu and has many priests among them. He gains powerful allies and many open doors in exchange. Baum, his son born of blood is his ultimate tool against the perceived folly of the Bao and the source for their subjugation. |
