Dry meat is a rather tasty meal in these desert reaches, even though anything could be better than military rations. Left to dry in the plane's light, it then can be easily heated for consumption. It looks a little blackened, but its flavor is deeper, good to spice, good to eat in hot places in the other Lower Planes, as it won't spoil so fast due to excessive hot climate.
