This is a slim trunked evergreen with thin needle-like leaves. Its trunk is a sandy brown, making the ones on Minethys nearly invisible until quite close to them. The wind screaming through the brittle leaves makes an unearthly wailing sound, which has guided many travelers to these trees. The root system pushes the trunk up from the ground making a sheltered chamber beneath it. A fully-grown specimen will be over forty lengths in height and two lengths thick. Its bower will be four lengths high and ten wide. Often a hill of sand will form around the exposed root system. Spores will coat creatures sheltering in the bower. After three or four days the spores will dry and fall off. Hence, the pine has been spread to all areas of the plane.
