Luallyr: The Hand-Maiden (Demi-Goddess)

Of all the new drow gods, her story of elevation is the most commonly known. She was among the most powerful of Yochlol before Lolth elevated her to Demi-godhood. And the tales insist that only by Lolth's grace does she remain a goddess.

She works hard to maintain Lolth's grace, using her priesthood as tools to root out threats inside drow cities against Lolth, and against her own small priesthood.

Her realm is located in the 66th layer, the demonweb pits. She maintains the Chamber of Enlightment there, where she tortures those sacrificed at her altars.

Torture is used to change a person's worship. The torture is not always physical pain, and the goddess, and her servants delight in taking as long as necessary to reach their goal.

Some whisper that her greatest desire is to capture a demi-god, and torture him, to try and convert him to serve Lolth, and thereby gain greater honor in the eyes of her patroness, and instill fear in any rival.

Those who come to this realm usually seek one of three things: to learn the secret of torture from those who have mastered it, rescue someone being tortured there, or to try and destroy the Black Spider rumored to be found here and to be the source of Lualyrr's godhood. All three of them should be aware that Lualyrr and her servants, in their delight of torture, may very well decide to practice their skills on those poor souls. The Black Spider is a tale fabricated by Lualyrr to draw some of her enemies to her. But it is true that those who dwell here are legendary in their skill of torture, and the best example is a planetar they managed to subvert to evil and transform into a rutterkin. Stories say that they managed to break his faith in the upper planes and in the cause of goodness that he even begged to become the rutterkin he trasnformed into. It should be noted that other gods of the drow pantheon dismiss this as screed.

Their job is to root out those who worship the false gods (Ma'azbert, Ergosal, Daermon & Vaerhun) and those that pretend to worship lolth while they despise her and ignore her teaching. They believe their mission is to kill the heretics and make sure Lolth will rule supremely with their goddess as her most honored and true handmaiden.

Her priests work for houses that honor Lolth and their job is to torture those who are suspected of being unfaithful in Lolth's eyes. They must never harm a female drow, especially matron mothers, unless they received permission from Lolth (they know it through their goddess).

The priests and goddess are joined in symbolic marriage. Almost all of her priests are males.
