Ash Element Creatures

Ash Element Creatures are most at home in the Quasi-elemental Plane of Ash or other similar places, they could also be found in the Negative Energy Plane where the essence of fire has long since died. They have the general shape of their material counterparts except that they are composed entirely of ash. They are white and grey with tiny cinders located across their bodies. The eyes of an Ash Element Creature are brightly glowing cinders, which are larger than the rest. These creatures crave heat, and it's reflected in their eyes.

Creating an Ash Element Creature Ash Element is an inherited template that can be added to any corporeal creature of the types: aberration, animal, dragon, fey, giant, humanoid, magical beast, monstrous humanoid, plant or vermin. An Ash Element creature uses all of the base creature’s stats unless otherwise noted. Do not recalculate the creature’s hit dice, BAB and so on.

Type: The creature’s type changes to elemental, and it gains the cold subtype.

Special Attack: An ash element creature retains the special attacks of the base creature, and also gains the following.

Absorb Fire (Ex): The ash element creature can put out any exposed non-magical fire that is large size or smaller with a touch. The creature can dispel magical fire as dispel magic cast at a caster level equal to the creature's HD. It does not affect creatures from the Plane of Fire in any way.

Heat Absorption (Ex): Those hit by the natural attacks of the ash element creature suffer the effects of fatigue or exhaustion based on the table below. Someone already fatigued can’t be fatigued further from additional attacks of the ash element creature. This attack drains the heat from victim's body, and can affect any creature that has body heat (it has no effect on most undead and constructs). Creatures immune to cold damage are immune to this attack.

Special Qualities: An ash element creature retains all of the base creature’s special qualities and also gains the following:

Darkvision 60 feet

Damage Reduction (Ex): They gain DR based on the table below. If the base creature already has damage reduction, use the better of the two.

Challenge Rating: HD 3 or less as base creature; HD 4 to 7 as base creature +1; HD 8+ or more, as base creature +2

Alignment: Usually neutral.
