Dominating the tower interior, you see an iron… creature. Its size is staggering; if it stood full height, it would shatter the roof of the siege tower. Thundering echoes rattle the walkway as the creature hammers away on its forge, and the smell of soot and ash fills the air. You realize the golem is built into the siege tower itself; girders, pipes, and huge bracers run through its lower torso and into the walls, and the bottom portion of its body made up the forge itself. Metal screams as the giant turns to face you.

The creature calling itself Coaxmetal is a unique iron golem. Weapons from countless planar battlefields were melted to form its body. Wrought from these “minor expressions of pain”, the golem was then given purpose by unnamed forces of entropy – to forge the implements by which the multiverse will be unmade.

Combat

Coaxmetal rarely fights. It prefers to dispatch troublesome intruders using its banish ability. Its natural weapons are treated as epic for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

Banish (Su) : Once per round as a free action, Coaxmetal can choose one creature within 60 ft. and transport it anywhere within 1 mile, as if affected by greater teleport. The target can negate this effect by making a successful Will save (DC 52). An affected target becomes unable to come within 60 ft. of Coaxmetal for 24 hours. The golem typically uses this ability to remove unwanted visitors from its tower.

Construct Traits : Immune to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, necromancy effects, mind-affecting effects, and any effect that requires a Fort save unless it also works on objects or is harmless. Not subject to critical hits, nonlethal damage, ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, or energy drain. Cannot heal damage, but can be repaired; immediately destroyed when reduced to 0 hit points or less. Since it was never alive, a construct cannot be raised or resurrected.

Craft Weapon (Su) : Coaxmetal can freely place any magical enhancements or properties on a weapon that he crafts using his Craft (weaponsmithing) skill. Creating a magic weapon this way requires one day per 10,000 gp of the weapon’s market price, with a minimum of one day. Once every decade or so, Coaxmetal can craft an artifact-class weapon.

Immunity to Magic (Ex) : Coaxmetal is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance.

Plane Shift (Su) : Once per day as a full round action, Coaxmetal can transport itself and its tower to another plane, as if using a plane shift spell. It can choose whether to bring along any creatures currently present in the tower, or simply leave them behind. Unwilling travelers can also attempt a Will save (DC 50) to remain behind. There is a 50% chance that this ability creates a minor, severe, or complete planar breach behind for 1d% hours (see Planar Handbook).

Habitat/Society

Ancient by most standards, Coaxmetal travels the plane in its siege tower, crafting and freely distributing weapons throughout the multiverse. The path of its plane shifting is usually chosen so that armies can use the resulting planar breach to pass from one plane onto another, further advancing the purpose of entropy. However, some time ago Coaxmetal’s tower had anchored itself in Sigil’s Lower Ward, near the Great Foundry, and now seems to be stuck – the golem is either unable or unwilling to set it in motion again.

Ecology

All must fall upon Entropy's blade. The time nears when it will be necessary to breach the walls of Creation. Order will be put to the sword. Its chains will be broken. The Multiverse will be unmade."- Coaxmetal

Awesome. One of my favorite characters in Torment.

Post a picture to go with it. There's one here: http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/pc/planescape/images/characters/coaxm...
