Good idea to have a spell like this, but as it's a permanent change, it should probably have an XP cost. It should also have the Mind-Affecting trait.

This spell is only relevant in campaigns that use the madness point system: When laying your hand upon a living creature you permanently alleviate 1d4 points of madness. Some creatures may not wish to have their madness alleviated and can make a Will save. With a successful save, only half of 1d4 madness points are healed. This spell may be cast more than once on the same creature. |
This spell is based on the madness rules from WoT that I modified for Planescape. A character can take a feat to reduce his madness by 20 in WoT and my rules. However, the DM keeps track of madness ratings. After all, how would you know if you've gone mad?
