Molikroth's Gardens

According to the baatezu who are members of the Sensates, one of the nine truly remarkable and life-changing sights of the Outer Planes are the gardens maintained by Molikroth's minions in Cania, the frozen hell of Baator. Although this may be baatezu propaganda, it is said they are composed entirely of frozen or ice-covered bouquets and Zen gardens, sprinkled with delicate snow and full of icy dew beaded on sumptuous roses. The main attraction, however, is the Ice Orchid. To the baatezu scholars it is a symbol of control over change, to the tanar'ri it is a symbol of the death of fertility, but to most folks it's simply an amazing orchid, colored with beautiful blues and whites, that is almost celestial in nature. Such a find in the pits of the Nine Hells is rare indeed. Some say the Ice Orchid has the power to stop plants from growing in springtime, while others claim it halts old age in its tracks. Needless to say, if it comes from the realms of the devils, it no doubt serves some nefarious purpose, even if its true power is beneficent at first blush.

Very beautiful, like Borges

This is reminiscent of some of the short stories of fantasy and exotica collected and published by Jorge Luis Borges, who was the Prophet of the Aleph Point, and the chronicler of the Infinite Library.
