This spell creates a world of the caster's design within the mutable reality sea of the Ethereal or Astral Planes.

This spell can only be used within the environs of the Astral or Ethereal planes. As the spell is cast, it creates a demiplane 10' in radius for every level of the caster.

The demiplane grows slowly, at the rate of one foot per day, until it reaches it's maximum size, and then decreases it's rate dramatically to 1/2 inch per week (just over 2 feet per year).

When the demiplane is born, the caster determines what environment it has, including things like solid ground, landscapes, air, water, or other substances, as long as the DM approves (a reasonable guideline is that the environment cannot duplicate effects greater than 3rd-level magic). Features such as life and constructions must be braught from elsewhere, as this spell does not create them. All demiplanes created with Demiplane Seed are considered in contact with both the Astral and Ethereal planes.

In order to function, this spell requires a "seed" in the form of a gem of at least 1,000 gp value. This gem serves as the basis for the demiplane, and is consumed in the casting. This can be superceded by paying 2000 XP, requiring no gem.

This spell is similar to the Psionic power of Genesis.

This spell was converted from The Planewalker's Handbook.
