| This spell has similarities to the spell Alarm, in that it sends a mental message to the caster when the area of the spell is passed. In the case of this spell, the area of the spell is a portal, and passing it is activating it. The portal shows no outward magical tampering, the only thing revealing the spell being Detect Magic. Once the portal is activated, a mental tingle is felt by the caster and only the caster, as long as he is on one of the two planes that the portal connects.
