Dracoverr Armour

Carnifex's picture
The Dracoverr are the elite bodyguard of the Lord Commander of Huron, a nation on a prime world. These highly trained warriors are stunning horsemen and skilled in fighting from horseback, and they usually do battle as mounted cavalry. However, their agile style of fighting and their use of hit-and-run tactics are not conducive to the wearing of heavy plate armour that restricts movement and slows the wearer down. Instead the master smiths of that country make special suits of armour that allow for maximum flexibility and movement while retaining much of the protection bestowed by full plate armour.

Due to its extremely high quality for a non-magical suit of armour, Dracoverr armour is highly prized by anyone who can get their hands on it, and it is very rare that suits are for sale in Sigil, usually after theft or after the original owner died on the field of battle and his armour was looted.

Dracoverr armour appears as an odd mixture of scale mail and plate armour, with most of the suit being green-hued scale mail reinforced with splints of steel. Shoulder plates, bracers and greaves are all red-hued steel, and usually intricately decorated, as is the breastplate, all of which bear the emblem of a red dragon coiling round a brazier.

Due to the master craftsmanship invested in the creation of each suit, they are remarkably flexible and have the weight of the armour well distributed around it. It is not possible to buy masterwork Dracoverr armour, as it is all masterwork already.By: Christopher AllenImported from a previous version of Planewalker.com
