A shard resembles a human woman with luminous skin, shadowy hair, and fiery burning eyes. Shards are very emotional and quick to anger at any slight, real or imagined. CombatA shard strikes with her fists in combat, dealing powerful blows. If taunted or provoked, a shard might combine an attack with her burning hands ability, dealing additional fire damage.Spell-like abilities (Sp): Shards are able to use the following spell-like abilities 3 times per day as a 5th-level sorcerer (DC 11 + spell level): burning hands, dancing lights, darkness, daylight, faerie fire. Perfect Sight (Su): Shard's are able to see in any darkness, magical or normal; they cannot be blinded or dazed by a visually based attack.Habitat/SocietyWhile no one knows the exact number of shards which exist at any one time,it has been noted that the more the lillendi are active and visible, themore the shards seem to be close by. Scholars believe a balance ismaintained by pitting the abandoned freedom of the shards against themeasured refinement of the lillendi. It is only when confronting thelillendi that shards seem to cooperate; otherwise, they never seem to agreeon the subject of art, creativity, or even the solution to a simple problem.Even a greeting can send a pair of shards into a bickering argument about asuitable reply.0EcologyShards are the manifestation of chaotic creativity, given form by the goddess Selune. They serve her within her realm on Ysgard but also wander the Infinite Staircase, protecting the goddess’ interests. They tolerate but rarely cooperate with lillendi.Shards speak Celestial and Common.
