Manes have pale, bloated skin and blank eyes. They appear to be in a perpetual state of decay but never seem to completely lose their form. A manes has long claws and sharp teeth with which it fights. CombatA manes slashes with its claws and follows up with a bite attack. It attacks a chosen opponent until restrained or destroyed. Manes are so stupid that they cannot comprehend even the simplest of commands, let alone manage to communicate with another beingAcidic vapor (ex): If a manes is reduced to 0 hit points, it dissolves into a cloud of acidic vapor which encompasses an area 15 feet in diameter for one round; anyone within the cloud suffers 1d6 acid damage.Tanar’ri qualities (immunities) (ex): Immune to electricity, poison and mind-affecting spells.Tanar’ri qualities (resistances) (ex): Acid, cold, and fire resistance 20.Habitat/SocietyManes travel the infinite layers of the Abyss in snarling, terrifying hordes that can number in the thousands. These armies prove next to impossible to maintain, as the manes are too stupid to comprehend commands. However they make excellent soldiers, as once they have sighted the enemny (and you'd best make sure it is the enemy), they fight tirelessly.0EcologyManes are pathetic creatures which populate the Abyss and serve both as fodder for the Blood War and as a main staple of the abyssal diet. When left to their own devices, they roam the layers of the plane and attack anything that crosses their path, heedless of their own welfare. Even with the guidance of more intelligent tanar’ri, the most that can be done with manes is to herd them in a specific direction and stand back.
