Grilligs are scaled beasts that live to hunt and kill any creature larger than themselves, favouring such activity over their own survival. Bariaurs call grilligs "pests that hunt their hunters." Legend has it that grilligs were born from two-dimensional angles, and myth has it that they can appear through sharp angles in buildings or terrain. Grilligs are smaller than the average human, with long arms and hunched legs. Their movement resembles that of an ape, as the grillig uses its arms to propel itself along. All four of the grillig's limbs end in three fierce talons. CombatIn battle, grilligs raise themselves on their forelimbs, then lash out with their shredding talons. Grilligs always gang up on opponents; if all but one grillig attacking a creature is killed, the remaining grillig will either seek out a new group of attackers or flee. If cornered before it can flee, the grillig hisses and gnashes its teeth, but cannot bring itaself to fight back.Grilligs prefer to weaken an opponent with ambushes before attacking in groups until their prey is dead. Usually, lone grilligs are scouts sent out to find an opponent for the pack; it will flee and gather its pack, which return to soften their prey with crude traps (boulders pushed off ledges, avalanches, stampeding animals, and so on) before attacking.Immunity (Ex): Grilligs are immune to all damage caused by slashing and piercing weapons. This is the reason that bariaur tribes carry bludgeoning weapons in the Outlands.Keen Senses (Ex): Grilligs have a +4 racial bonus to Hide and Search checks in angular terrain. * - The skills as listed above DO NOT include this bonus.Habitat/SocietyNone0EcologyNone
