Ethyks are tiny mammalian creatures, and are native inhabitants of both layers of Bytopia. They have a singular bulbous yellow-white eye with a black pupil on their small heads, a long prehensile tail, and claws at the end of each of its four legs. Its fur is usually grey, brown, or tawny red. They are usually domesticated.

For more information see the Planes of Conflict Monstrous Supplement (pg. 12).

CombatInduce Anger (Ex): Ethyks can induce a type of anger in any single creature. This hostility and anger is never directed at the ethyk. The victim must succeed a save vs. Will (DC 15) or direct her anger at a target within 100 ft. The effect lasts for 3d4 rounds. This effect may be used upto 6 six times in any one day. While the ethyk's enemies are distracted, it uses this time for escape. Skills: Ethyks have a +4 racial modifier to their Listen and Spot checks.Habitat/SocietyThe ethyk, in its natural habitat (Bytopia), likes to swing from tree to tree with its tail, rarely descending to the ground (usually to collect fallen fruit or nuts, or hunt rodents). When captured, ethyks are quickly domesticated and bond to a superior creature (usually its owner). Once bonded, it uses its power to protect its master upon command and never have their anger focused on the ethyk or its master. They behave well in public and can be issued simple commands. 0EcologyEthyks eat rodents, small birds, snakes and large insects. It also eats fruits, nuts, and other plant life, although it seems to prefer meat and can subsist on that alone.
