Buseni come in many shapes, but all have a shiny ebony skin that reflects light as if it were a puddle of oil. Their true form has no distinguishing features - no eyes, no ears, no mouth and instead of bones, they have odd ridges that lay just beneath the surface of their skin. They communicate solely through telepathy. For more information see the Planes of Law Monstrous Supplement (pg. 16). CombatSpin Attack (Ex): When a busen finds itself fighting a losing battle, they sprout weapons all over their bodies and start spinning at a blinding speed for 1d6 rounds. This spin attack is so fast that all opponents suffer a-2 penalty to attack the busen. This attack allows the busen to attack 4 times a round and each successful hit delivers 2d8+2 points of damage. However if the busen fails to finish off its assailant, the aggressor will most probably destroy the busen, as they must rest for a number of hours equal to the number of rounds that spent in this spinning attack.Immunities (Ex): Buseni are immune to charm-, sleep-, and paralyzytion-based spells.Shape Change (Ex): Buseni, being essentially amorphorous in their natural state can assume virtually any shape. These transformations take a full 5 rounds to complete and therefore are too dangerous to undertake during combat.Skill Bonuses (Ex): When in the tunnels of Arcadia, buseni always succeed at their Listen and Spot skill checks.Spell-like Abilities (Su): detect magic and know alignment are usable by buseni at will.Habitat/SocietyThe buseni are the guardians of the entrances to Buxenus, the second layer of Arcadia. Just who is responsible for giving the buseni their orders is a multiversal dark, as is just what type of social hierarchy these creatures have. In short, it is apparent that not much is known about the buseni at all.0EcologyNature has no reason for why the buseni look the way they do, let alone why they are. It seems as though they were either spawned by the plane itself, or created by some power eager to demonstrate, that despite a fearsome appearance, a creature doesn't have to be evil at heart.
