Resurrecting the Zine....slowly....

I do have plans to get this up and running again.

Given the length of time between the issues may want to start from scratch though we did have Issue 1 out at least.

So if we can get Issue 2 stuff somewhat back together would be nice.

Clueless?

I'd suggest a new title and starting from Issue #1 again, yes. It's been quite some time. I have the finished version; nothing that was in a queue anywhere.

One reason I was thinking of sticking with the current plan is there is an existing issue with a two part article.

I don't think the second part was ever released?

We could re-release the first issue in conjunction with the second, them move on from there?

That could be a way to go.

That could be a way to go.

I have... actually quite a lot written on Mechanus druids, because I thought the idea was cool. I could cut a bunch of stuff out to make a 2-page article.

I wouldn't cut yet. We could stick them in Issue 3.

Will try and touch base with Loki & Clueless, see if anyone can recall how far along we were with Issue 2.

Looking back we do have Issue

Looking back we do have Issue 1. I'd rather re-issue that than start from scratch.

Maybe retitle the Killing the Lady of Pain to ruffle less feathers. ;-)

I think I can find most of the content for Issue 2 which had a celestials focus if memory serves. I should be able to get *some* art as well, though I swear we had the full art assets for that second issue not sure where we'd find it.

I'd like to help with this, if I could. No idea where I'd start, but I can contribute writing, editing, or art. Let me know if I can provide a sample or something.

Thanks guys!

Thanks guys!

I do want to put some momentum on this while also not trying to make big promises or force things my way.

Let me dig hard into seeing what content is available for Issues 2 & 3, which IIRC were Celestial & Mechanus/Law focused respectively.

If there aren't any objections I'd like to fill out those issues with material for their respective themes rather than change them up and get all new content. So if you guys have ideas for either it'd be great as we'll need some to fill the pages. (I think we should shoot for 8-12 pages, longer and it gets harder to put these out on time.)

My plan right now is to fill out Issues 1 (already done) & 2 completely, and also have them put out in early 2017. Issue 3 would then come out in the spring, leaving 4 & 5 to come out.

I'm also thinking we can interview someone who has done recent Planar-related work and get it into 2 or 3. Paizo has a new Elemental Planes book out for example, and there's also some 5e stuff that's planar as well.

Which edition/system should

Which edition/system should we use? The first Issue uses 3.5 rules, but I suppose that the community is pretty fractured by now (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Ed., Pathfinder...).

Maybe I could do a description of the "Iron Claws" (a Rakshasa's mercenary company from Acheron which I used in my campaign) for the Law-Issue.

I think any system is fine.

I think any system is fine. 5e & Pathfinder seem to be the expected.

We probably should have some crunch in every issue. *Sci glances at the rulebooks he bought but never read*

Jep, the same here. I'm completely stuck on 3.5.

The current Nemausus-conflict between the Guvners and the Hardheads (as mentioned in the PW Campaign Setting) would make another great topic for the Law Issue.

The mirror archive on Mimir

The mirror archive on Mimir.net preserved a good bit of Issue 2's planned celestial content so thinking of going with that one.

Here's the discussion of the issue from the past:

Hey! I'm around and pumped to work on this again.

Things I can contribute:
1) Layout work (I ponied up for an Adobe CC subscription recently, so I've got InDesign)
2) Ideas
3) Pathfinder crunch
4) A page worth of paper miniatures for each issue
5) One or two illustrations per issue in addition to the miniatures

I think it might actually be a good idea to start fresh, if we hustle we can definitely have something ready for Q1 2017.

We have a lot of stuff for the Mechanus issue so we should definitely still use that (I thought it was all excellent) and do an early issue on Mechanus. If we used our Mechanus material for our first relaunch issue, we could be funny about The One and the Prime in the introduction, too.

I'm completely worthless for 5th edition crunch, unfortunately. Do we have anyone on the board who can help with that?
