Help with Maps

Apologies if this topic is unnecessary, or somesuch, but I've been wanting to run a Planescape game as of late. Unfortunately, finding battlemaps for Sigil and the planes seems next to impossible.

Does anyone have advice to give, or any clue as to where I should look for such things?

Explanation

Generally speaking, Battlemaps are images that display a top-down view of some sort of environment the Party in, say, a game of 2nd edition Planescape can fight in. They're generally used to give the players a good idea of how the environments look like, beyond just giving a nice verbal description.

I'll post an image to illustrate what I mean.

Aah. I see.

Aah. I see.

hmm
Well, I guess I'm aging myself here but, back in the heyday of PLanescape, under 2E rules, there were no such things. Generally speaking, the DM would draw out such a map.
I'd highly doubt that any such things as you describe have been made.
That being said, there are some highly generic terrain mats made by Pathfinder that might suit your needs.
Myself, to this day I still draw out all my own maps. From continental down to encounter scale...

lol

I suppose.
Personally, I much prefer to make my own maps. From the creative POV as a DM, the simple act of mapping a space out definitely comes in handy when you're actually running the encounter.

I guess?

It's probably great if you've got drawing skills worth a damn, or if you're actually running your games in-person, but I'm doing it over the net, and I can't draw for shit. Otherwise I wouldn't be here, posting in this topic.

Yeah, sadly the official maps

Yeah, sadly the official maps we have of Sigil are at the city-scale not in grid level for combat. And all the adventures were written in 2nd ed when grid based mechanics weren't a thing. So basically getting an official map of anything is unlikely. You should be able to recycle most urban environment maps though depending on what you're trying to run.

I recommend following

I recommend following Clueless' suggestion: go hunting for urban maps and substitute them for whichever close-up area of Sigil you're working with. You'll want to focus on certain features for ideal maps. For example, the Hive will have lots of damaged and dilapidated buildings, or piles of refuse, or an overall slum-like appearance. The Clerk's Ward, by contrast, will have wide open avenues with larger, free-standing buildings (and the alleyways between them will be kept relatively clean).
